Good Monday Morning, Hope you all had a Wonderful
Mother's Day Weekend
Hubby and I went fishing yesterday
It was a Beautiful day at the water, calm and nobody else around,
as most were enjoying family get together's to celebrate Mom's Day
With so many miles between me and my kiddo's
The phone had to be my communication
So we drove up and got out
WELL let's just say Shelby and Rango bailed out LOL
As some of you may recall Shelby is not a stranger to the lake
We took her swimming when she was little and
She loves the water!
The water is so Nasty here, it had rained a bunch!
Shelby loves fishing also!
With Rango Being a year Old this month
We did not get to take her last summer, our lake was under a High
Blue-Green Algae alert all of last year, advising People to stay
out of the water and to keep their pets out of the lake as well
The little Water Birds were flying around the Water's Edge and
Rango had to take off to check them out
We were parked on a point with a cove on each side of us!
Well Shelby knows to put on the brakes! Rango on the other hand
does not have any BRAKES lol
Yes over the side she went along with hubby right behind her
as he went over the edge he slipped on the side and plunged right in
Along with wallet and Cell phone!!!
This is a drop off and he knew she would not be able to get back out
on her own!!
Wet dog and none too happy because she was now on a leash!
No Fish caught but lots of running and playing
Needless to say Rango would not get near the water again?
So now my job is cut out for me to get her used to going swimming
When the Water Warms Up a Little!
They played so hard they were worn out
and the End to a Beautiful Day
Hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day
Brenda
Good Morning Brenda Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteLooks like you and the kids had a wonderful Mother's Day. There is nothing better, than a fishing pole and leaving all your cares behind as you sit and cast that reel all day. I love the peace and serenity of it all. Even if you catch nothing, you have memories of the peace and quiet. Lovely, just lovely.
You did have a little excitement with the baby though. What ashame you didn't capture pics of that one. I was so LOL when you wrote it. I just saw that one coming before we got there in the story. I loved it Brenda.
Thanks for sharing sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Silly pup, I bet that was a big surprise when she jumped and found out how high it was. Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the day.
