I have a Winner for my Giveway and HELP

Wow the first Monday of 2012!!

Our Fence?? Well it keeps us in, but I do now have a gate so I can escape LOL
And what was I thinking? Now that Rango can run around and play, you do not want to see a picture of her.
I just gave her a bath a few days ago, and she and Shelby rolled in the dirt most of the day yesterday and oh my GOSH she is DIRTY!

They were both so worn out last night. I am thrilled that she can now run and play. It did not take her long to realize she wan't to let us know she needed outside more often. Before she went out when Shelby wanted out.

But She can still escape!! We purchased some wire that we can string and stretch tight along the bottom, so she will not have a large enough gap to squeeze through. Hopefully we will get that up this week. So in the mean time I have to still go out with them.

Winner of the Giveaway will be posted at the bottom of this post. But first..........

I need to see if any of you can help me out here

I am looking for a quilt, a Couple of years ago I had a wonderful Quilt that was Red and White in the flying Geese Pattern. I do not need the flying geese it just needs to be either red and white, or red white and blue
Handmade completely, yes hand pieced and hand quilted.

It can be worn and tattered as well. Even one that has mostly red in it. I have so many requests for items and I am having no luck finding one, Unless I want to pay high dollar for one, and by that I mean LOTS!!

Using **Lynn's picture from Painting Thyme Needfuls** Yes she purchased this stocking from me as well as the American arrangement above.

So if anyone can find something or may have something please leave a comment or email me. It does not have to be a complete quilt a cutter is fine. I just really need one bad and I am willing to pay good for it just not HUGE !!! I would even be willing to do some swapping for some handmade items.

Now My FIRST winner of 2012!! And oh I am looking forward to my giveaways this year I have some wonderful plans for them. If you are new to my blog I do giveaways every month so be sure to follow along and check in sometimes and most often then not, I may have two a month or have multiple winners!!

The Winner of the Santa Make Do Bobbin is ****PAM of Antique Or Not**** Congrats Pam on winning!
I will be emailing you as soon as I hit that Publish Button to get your address.

Please join me in telling Pam congratulations.

  6. Congratulations Pam, you are a lucky girl!
We had a dog who kept getting out of our fence to. Unfortunately we had to put up a whole new fence and I know yours is new. I do not know what you fence looks like but maybe you could bank some soil and plant flowers or add some gravel, of course that is if Rango does not dig.

    Have a lovely day,
    Sue

  13. Oh girl, we had that problem with our miniature Schnauzer. I think you were just spoiled with Shelby being a good dog, haha! Ours is 5 years old now and he has gotten better. We had to go around our whole fence line to find where he was getting out. If someone accidentally lets him out, he shoots out and is gone. We have to jump in the truck real quick and chase him down. I wish I could say there is hope for you but mine is still at, just not as much.

Yes, I can see why the red and white flying geese quilt would be very popular for crafts. It makes up beautifully for Christmas! I bought some cutter quilts and pieces this summer at garage sales and just looked through them. No red and white but lots and lots of blue. Sorry, wish I could help.

Congratulations to Pam on winning your first giveaway!!

I will be on the look out for you, though what I've been finding around here is NOTHING to what I see that most of you girls find in other parts of the country, none the less I'll keep my eye out!
Good luck keeping that rascal Rango confined with in the fence!
    Take care~

Those two girls of yours are a couple of toddlers with fur!
I have a cutter that you could have but it's yellow and white predominantly with red and blue here and there. I use Vintage Blessings on eBay for my quilts. She's great.

  20. Congratulations to Pam! That Rango, what a wee dickens! Hope that the wire does the trick to keep her corralled so you don't have to stay outside when she and Shelby are out and about :O) Hope you can find that cutter quilt as well, I'd look up here for you but can't even begin to imagine how much shipping would be to Oklahoma for a big 'ol quilt! Thanks for your continuing generosity Brenda, you are amazing!

  24. Congrats to Pam!! Let me know if you have any luck on the cutter quilt hunt, I am looking for some too, colors don't matter to me, it's the price. I am going to start hitting yard sales in the spring. I am also watching the white sales this month, I figured I could get a store bought one on sale, stain it and rough it up myself.
    Warm Wishes,

  27. Congrats to Pam!!

We have a local thrift store that gets quilts in often...I will keep a look-out for red and white ones.

Now that we have a new yorkie puppy...we are going to have to do the same thing to the bottom of our fence, so that Zoey can't get out.

    hugs,
    Cindy
