I got a new desktop
well actually it is new but still one with 7 on it!!
It will take some getting use to, but it sure is working better
then the old one!!
Just settled for a dell desktop, with a regular tower etc.
But it has twice the memory of my old one
And I have learned a lot lately about not to
put a bunch of stuff that is so unnecessary on it
HAVE YOU disabled your JAVA???
if not you best do it!!
took me awhile to figure that out on the new computer
you are in danger if you have Java enabled on your computer right now
Brenda
So happy for you Brenda! I'm still amazed at how long I put up with the old, old computer I had. Life is easier with this new one and I know YOU will have so much fun with it.......especially now that you don't have to wait or hold your breath to see if it's still going to work!

I'm SO glad you got a new one! I know you'll love it and it's great that it has 7 still on it! Happy blogging!
ReplyDeleteWooHoo!! Proud for you Brenda. Have fun getting to know it. Have a blessed Sunday

Yay for a new computer, Brenda! You need to get yourself a little UR Drive. Some people call them 'junk drives' or 'thumb drives' but you can load up all of your goodies from your computer, like pictures and documents, onto it then clear it off or your puter. Just insert the drive when you need to see it again without having your machine loaded down. Hope that makes sense!
ReplyDeleteDisabled JAVA this a.m. Will these crooks never quit?!!
Have fun getting acquainted!

I am glad you were able to find one. My husband said he would never use 8 and he always gets the newest things, so guess it is a bad thing, lol. Why would you disable your java? They use java programs for gaming and scripts which a lot of sites have.

new computers are fun and a pain lol
ReplyDeleteMy desktop just went to never never land...ugh....and I am needing a new laptop...the life expectancy of computers is short lived.......ugh.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have something you LOVE.......why disable JAVA?
hugs,
Lynn
I would also like to know why you disabled your java, and how do you go about disabling it.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on Microsoft and use Linux Ubuntu, so I dont have to learn new stuff every time the geeks think up new ways to confuse us.
I am so pleased for you. I still haven't got all my bits installed yet. I look in the boxes and it looks so complicated, I think I might have to pay a tech guy to come and help me.
