A Precious little Family

Happy Sunday to you all
It has been a slow Lazy sort of day
Well outside of the normal cooking, laundry etc.
But I have worked on it slowly and also took
an afternoon nap!!

I went outside to find this today

I have been waiting for it to open, you can see three more buds
there is actually four of them! This is the Only Lilly that survived
the drought we had last year

We took a drive down to the boat ramp area yesterday evening

As I got out of the truck I spooked them
they took off towards the water
A sweet little family of Geese

I turned around and this is the cove on the other side of the road

There have been many flowers on this plant
Hubby had to plant some squash in my flower bed!

I do love the flowers on Squash plants

Simple things make me so Happy!!

Smoking Ribs need to go check on them
and go back to my Lazy day
Hope you are enjoying today as much as I am
Brenda

  5. Well Brenda, I think I am smelling those ribs all the way down here in the south! (smile). Sounds like a perfect day you have had for yourself. Love the pictures of the geese and the flower is so pretty. Went to a huge craft show after services today and not a single primitive booth. I was so disappointed. Hope your evening continures to be a peaceful one.

  7. I love to see the garden in bloom. Our neighbor used to come over and ask for squash blossoms. He breaded them and fried them. I never did try that. I really miss that old guy.
Your lily is gorgeous. Ours are plain old red or plain old orange. *sigh*
And geese? We have to stop on the highway at Mom's while the adults herd the babies across. No one minds. They are so darned cute.....
We are smoking ribs, too! Great minds think alike!

  10. Hi Brenda,
what a nice way to spend a lazy Sunday!
I checked on my lilies yesterday and it will be a while if they survive the frost we got last night! 28 this morning was welcome at all.
Our friends had us over last night for dinner and he had tried out a new recipe on us! He likes using us as his taste-testers.............lol "Tennessee Smoked Ribs" to die for. A bit on the spicy hot side, but sooooo good and tender.

    I had a nap today too ;-)
    Hope you enjoy your ribs!

  17. Wow...your growing season is way ahead of ours....I wouldn't dream of planting anything yet - and you already have blooms and blossoms...wow! Love the geese family....and yet that surprises me that you have them nesting way down there.....Hmmmmm....Guess I don't know my geese geography very well! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
