We are home, poor baby, I do not know what was worse listening to her whining while back in the room being treated, or watching Shelby gets antsy and whine too while we were in the waiting room
Warning the picture is YUCKY
They shaved her paw and took the top off and cleaned it all out not it is a crater on her paw
Had to give her a long acting antibiotic shot and some antibiotic and numbing cream
He feels is will heal but if not they will have to go cut it all out!!
The doctor said to get her a LARGE bone something she had to work at to chew on to keep her mind off of it, and to apply the cream to the area. He thinks it is from a injury she could of gotten anything in her paw and since the air was not getting to it the spot could not heal.
Thank you for all of the comments and emails

Bless Rango's heart!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! I was cutting some of Abi's fur around her butt the other day and nicked her. Felt awful...
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Poor little thing, I sure hope it heals quickly. How sad that Shelby cried when Rango was back being treated. A nap with your babies sounds like what you and your doggies need after all that.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue hearts, very nice.

Oh, poor Rango! Going to the vet is never fun, but I'm glad he's on the mend. And a nap makes everything better :-).
ReplyDeleteGet well wishes to Rango. Poor baby. You try to hang in there too, get some rest like you said.
ReplyDeleteKendra
Oh... Rango's poor paw looks absolutely terrible! Both of you better take it easy the next couple of days. The stress can be high when a little one is injured. Glad to hear that she will be on the mend! :)
ReplyDeleteOh I hope your little dog gets well. Poor thing they are such great pets it's sad when they hurt and can't tell us.
ReplyDeleteDonna
Poor little Rango...I hope it heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteHang it there Brenda...I know how hard it is when one of our fur babies have something wrong with them.
Hope the nap helped all of you.
hugs,
Cindy
Aww, poor baby girl. We've had to open and drain a few of those on our kitties. They heal fine afterwards.
ReplyDeletexoxo~Carol
I'm glad the dog is ok. Looks happy enough to me with that big bone!
ReplyDeleteoh I entered the drawing twice I'm sorry my mind isn't very good. I hope you will forgive this mistake. I forgot that I already had entered it.
ReplyDeletePoor Baby..you must fill me in on Schnauzers. We are of course on our puppy search..Kaden prefers..white...and a girl as he already has the name Lucy picked out. I found some mini schauzers very reasonable because they are a bit older...and white...and oh so cute. Are they amazing with kids? I don't want a crazy dog..something a bit more mellow? What do you think? Katie
ReplyDeleteAw, poor baby! How cute of Shelby to be taking care of her! I hope the meds help her and it heals soon. They are like babies, they can't tell us what's wrong and that is so hard on us. But I know she is in good hands with you taking great care of her.
ReplyDeletePoor little Rango, hope it heals up quickly Brenda. If she is licking it, try putting an old sock over her foot and taping it securely farther up her leg, it will keep her from worrying at it all the time and licking off the cream. Worked for our pup, she walked a little funny at first but soon got used to it :O) Deb
ReplyDeleteAw...poor little one! It is hard to keep them from licking...I hope it is going okay! ~*~Lisa
ReplyDeleteOh Brenda, Rango is adorable...poor little cutie pie. I hate to see dogs have even the smallest of boo boo's. We have a pug, and she is the light of our life. She is having a weight gain issue, and she gets NO people food at all. However, she lacks movement LOL. She loves to sleep all day.
ReplyDeletePoor thing :(
ReplyDeleteBut glad to hear he will be o.k.
Hope it will heal quickly!
Prim Blessings
Robin
