Yes I am going Picking and other News

Hello Yes we have a dog sitter Yes I am going Picking

Just call me the Pickin Prim Sister LOL
I can not wait, gee I do not know what to expect but hey
I suppose that is part of the adventure
I am looking for all sorts of things
RUSTY stuff gotta have my Rust Fix LOL
Old Quilts *images snatched from google*
Wood bowls old stuff in general
And yes if these ladies are not to high priced
I would like to find a couple of pieces of furniture
so I can get rid of the junky shelves in my bedroom

I am so excited I have been to sales and been to junk yards
But I have never gone to a closed business that has sit for years and
years not open I can just imagine the dust etc.
It will be just like the pickers do YAY
If I can and if the adventure is worth it I will see if I can
take some pictures to share

OTHER news!!!!
We have decided not to get a booth, here while back I was considering
getting a booth back in Gladewater Texas where I had my store at
Well ......... Hubby even suggested me trying to find a place to set up
a shop here, but because of location
And only really having summer traffic due to living at a lake
I just do not think that would be feasible for me
And I am not sure I want to be tied down to a shop everyday

So I am checking into doing a couple of shows
one in Southern Oklahoma and one in North Texas this year
We will see I am still waiting for info from these two events

again image taken from online

Can we say my house will be a mess and stay that way for
The entire fall LOL...........when I did shows years ago
I sewed around the clock and had things everywhere

Yes I am one of those that sits it all up in my home so I can see what
it will look like LOL
We have a friend that used to do wood work and go to shows
He is going to be doing a few wood things for me
I can't wait, I am actually getting excited here
Oh I love and will continue to sell online
But I do miss that atmosphere of shows

And yes I am still taking wholesale orders from shop owners
I even have gals buying from me that are using items for their shows as fillers
And I have a couple of them that have bought from me to
sell the items in their booths at stores
If you are interested you can contact me by clicking on the envelope in
the top left sidebar

  6. Hope you have a fun time Brenda finding wonderful treasures.
I used to do craft shows once upon a time but it got old traveling so far to many of them. I miss it in some ways and especially the people I came to know. Now a friend and I have a booth in a local "bazaar/boutique" a gal started. My friend repurposes wood pieces she finds at GW/TS or wherever and I make all the other crafts and floral arrangements and we compliment one another. It's still lots of work but great fun too.
Can't wait to see what you find.
    Have a good one,
    ~Sheila

  9. Brenda, Sounds like a great place to go pickin. Hope you find oodles of goodies. Be sure to take pictures. Doing shows sounds great. So many have ask that I put things in a booth, but I don't like to craft when I have to be tied down. If its on my time when I am in the mood I am okay with it. The only show we do now, I have all year to piddle and get ready and its no hassle. Sure wish the shows were going to be closer to me. Have a great weekend.

  11. Brenda, I love the small town shows but have never done the 2 big ones that are local here! At this point in my life I just cannot handle the stress and anxiety, especially with my small family. I'm sure you will do well as your work is just wonderful!
Best of luck to you with your future endeavors!!
