Happy 4th Of July

Well I am simply amazed that
this year is half over with

The wedding went well, it was a simple country wedding with a few friends and family
Nothing big or fancy. And it was outside at least there was shade because it was
103 on Friday it had cooled down some but still it was HOT
Jerry and Tiffany and Tiff's cousin Kasey
Kasey and Jerry went to school together

Oh I hate sharing a picture of me I am not a person that holds up well in that kind of heat my hair flops, It actually had life in it during the day but just did not last long
I had intentions of getting it cut and fixed but we had to leave at 8 am because we had to drive to pick up my mother and the wedding was not until 7 pm
So by the time we got home our day lasted in all a total of 14 hours

I am facing the SUN and I should of left on my glasses!
Most of the pictures I took did not turn out great, imagine that?
Someday I will get me a new camera mine hangs up anymore and
sometimes it just will not snap a picture

I am glad it is behind us this has been such a hectic summer and now the rest of it has no major events or plans, I feel like I could go sit on my deck for a month and relax
Oh that is right one more week or PUPPIES!!
I will share my weekly puppy picture fix tomorrow, they will be 5 weeks old!

Right now I am enjoying my coffee and it is quiet??
For awhile any ways that won't last long I am sure!

We listened to fireworks last night did not go to see any shows
There were not a lot of individual ones like there normally is but with the conditions
being so dry here in Oklahoma and so many burn bans in effect I am sure that
several did not want to chance the hefty fine for shooting them off!
The lake is so busy I ran to town yesterday for groceries and the traffic was unreal
On any normal day I may pass about 5 vehicles, so I am ready for the holiday to be
over and things to settle down around here! We do not even attempt going to the water
when it is packed with campers

I have won a couple of giveaways this week
One being a surprise from Connie of CabinFeverPrimitives
And another A Gerber daisy *surprise* From Robin of The Primitive Hutch

I will share those when I get them

Don't forget to jump over to the Primitive and Folk Artists blog and sign up for a chance to win one of 11 great prizes

What a lovely wedding. I adore the simpler weddings that have a soft warm loving closeness to them. Congrats to the couple.

  2. Good morning Brenda! I'm having my coffee too-was just outside at a cool but lovely 58 degrees. Up early baking cakes for a friends family reunion later today.
Hard to believe summer is half over, seems like it just arrived here in Idaho!(finally) Your son's wedding sounds very much like the one for my friends daughter last week. A simple country outdoor wedding and I can see the flowers are very much the same as I did for them! Congrats by the way!
Best wishes to the young couple.
Enjoy your quiet. We all need those moments from time to time.
    Blessings,
    Sheila

  7. Good Morning Brenda Sweetie...
Oh my goodness gracious, girl you are absolutely beautiful. I can put a face with the voice behind the words on my pages. Yeahhh. Just beautiful.

Jerry looked so handsome and his bride is absolutely stunning. What a beautiful day. Even the heat can't ruin a happy day for a happy couple.

Can't wait to see a new photo of the pups. How exciting. I bet you have enjoyed this experience.

Have a gorgeous 4th of July. The water season will be over before you know it, and your lives will get back to normal. Many hugs and much love from Phoenix, Sherry

It looks to have been an awesome wedding despite the heat. I'm glad to see they went through with it and now maybe they'll bring you some grandbabies! I just love outdoor weddings!
You take as long a break as you need. It's ok to rest up and enjoy those pups. They will be gone all too soon.

  12. Beautiful, simple country wedding, so lovely. My daughter got married outside back in August of 1999. It was the hottest summer ever, over 100 degrees for 10 days and finally it cooled down to 98 on her wedding day. In this heat the hair do does not last long, even with hairspray. You looked just a sweet as can be. Blessings to the newly married couple.
