Well the season sure opened up with several tornadoes in Oklahoma last night. Glad to report that we are fine, but my heart goes out to those that were directly affected, and it just breaks for those that lost loved ones.
I for one love spring time but sure wish it did not come with the chance of severe weather. They say we are in for storms almost everyday this week.
Now I need to vent......I love my mother with all my heart but she scared me to death last night.......But I learned a lesson from it that I just have to share.
What is it we have children and we worry about them all the time. And then when our children grow up do we even consider the fact that in turn we worry them. hmmm well my mother must not LOL. She lives in a mobile home and a tornado touched down a mile away from her.....what did she do she sit inside and watched. They could see it and the tree branches were breaking outside!!!!! Now she has a cellar less then a block away from her in that darn park and does she go to it NO!!!!
Lesson learned I will always consider my children and their worry for me.
GEE I love my MOM but gee she worries me sometimes LOL!!

So glad to here you are safe and your mom too! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteOh My! I was holding my breath reading that! I'm so glad you are all okay. I have also come to the same realization that my children worry about me too. Now when I am going to be away for any length of time I have to call Mom and at least one child so the others can find me! Sometimes I choose to leave my leash(cell phone) at home.
ReplyDelete~Watching it rain~

Just remember ... when skies go green, don't act serene!
ReplyDeleteYour mom must be a secret storm chaser at heart! Seriously, though, glad you and yours are okay. I'm in Iowa and know how bad these storms can be!
Glad to hear you are safe and feel for the others who have lost, my prayers are with you all.

Whew! A mile away? That is close! I would have to give her a piece of my mind if she was my mom. Lol! Glad she is okay and you too. We only got heavy rain and winds, but yes.. nasty weather all week. I don't know if you noticed, but we know when OKC gets it-- it's coming our way! It always travels along I-44... always!
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about all my blog friends in these areas. I'm so glad you are safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I am one of those stubborn, know-it-alls who worry their children. I will remember what you said in the future and try not to do that. Love your blog.
