Happy Mother's Day and my Saturday treasures

Happy Mother's Day

No special plans here!! Gee it is hard being so far away from your children!
But I love them and I miss them. I also hate being away from my own mother, but we talk on the phone everyday! I hope all mama's out there have a wonderful day tomorrow.
I do have my new baby  Shelby

This puppy is a Mess, she is so funny. And I am enjoying her so much. OH she hears that magic word NO often but she knows what it means. But trust me she already rules the roost!!  Like right now she is sitting in my lap with her head rested on the edge of
the table watching me as I type.
Excuse the floor if there is anything for her to carry in on those furry little legs she finds it while she is outside, needless to say she gets cleaned often!!
Her new baby is already so dirty I am thinking tomorrow I will go and get her a new one and some treats. And look at a new camera for mother's day *maybe*?? I have other pictures of her to share of her but have not put them on my computer yet.

She went to a flea market with us today and got a bunch of attention. And I got some goodies. Sorry the pictures are not very good.
I found 6 bags of vintage wooden thread spools

a Scrabble game with all pieces YAY I needed those letter tiles
11 spindles for make do's *they need to be cleaned and painted*

And see that green thing OH I am so HAPPY, can you hear me doing a happy dance
my hubby spotted the thread holder I have been wanting one so bad for my sewing machine and was just about to order one online and he spotted this one on a shelf * in plain site, I did not even see it LOL*for only 25 cents, What a Bargin!!! now I can quit spending so much on thread it costs so much less to sew with these large spools.
I only spent $11.25 I am so pleased. I see lots of snowmen and santas on those spindles. OH did I really just mention winter lol I am so ready to make holiday stuff and will be starting on that very soon.
It was such a beautiful day out today I hope for those that have outdoor plans for Mother's Day tomorrow, that you have a bright sun shiny day, filled with Family and lots of love.

  4. Shelby is a cutie!

Wow, you're gonna be making lots of make do's. Can't wait to see them all finished up!

Christmas... a word we are already hearing at Hobby Lobby. Our first shipment of Christmas trees arrived in April. At the end of this month, we will be setting the ribbon and Christmas craft aisles... only a few more weeks away. Yikes!

    Have a wonderful week Brenda!

  5. Hey Brenda:) I'll bet Shelby is teething. That's a nice bunch of pieces you got there. Those holidays will be here before we know it.
