Been Swallowed Up!!

Ok so I will not start this post with Good Anything LOL

Morning how are you??
Me.........hmmm you may not want to know

The sun is shining the dogs are resting quietly and it
appears we will have another spring day today
had my windows all open yesterday it was so refreshing!

BUT I am not a HAPPY CAMPER!

Yes my computer has been SICK which means yes I have been sick
Frustrated, aggravated, angry, disturbed!! Need I go on??

Well I spent countless hours working on it, and am proud to say I
got it to the point of being able to do what I need to do, It will
be visiting the Geek today to get an issue fixed!

so Hubby informed me yesterday that I need to consider getting me a backup
Yep and he also said to get one of my spare sewing machines in the shop!!

So I have a plan of action in place I am going to get me one of these
any suggestions? I know nothing about lap tops?
And take one of my sewing machines in for an overhaul!

So once again I am behind, my counters are covered in WIP's
And I have an extremely busy day today to play catch up

I have been so swallowed up doing my taxes and sewing that I had forgot
to make me lists of orders so when I could not get my shop to load
I could not work on my orders UGH so instead just cut and sewed several
items in hopes that it would cover most of what I needed to do

So off to work in overload mode today
Wishing you a wonderful day, today has to be better then yesterday was!

  1. We just bought a new HP laptop...at Walmart. My hubby helps people in our community with computers and he says the less expensive laptops at Walmart will do anything we need to do and are a great buy. Hope this helps! ♥

  2. With all you have going on, computer issues you certainly don't need! I've got a few things to get finished up as well. My list of lists never seems to get smaller!
    Hang in there girl~

  3. Brenda,
My husband and I both have Dell laptops and have had no issues with either one. We bought them from Affordable Computers in Chattanooga. He buys and refurbishes laptops, sells them at $199-499. I would highly recommend him. I will never buy a new laptop or computer again. He does sell over the internet.
    Warm Wishes,

  4. New things are always fun! But sometimes it can be confusing making so many choices. My daughter has had 2 Dell laptops over the years for college use and so on.She constantly had issues. We have always had Hewlett Packard and haven;t had any issues. Hubby just bought a new HP laptop last month. He sells computers and so he sees all of the ones that are returned with issues. I guess it is like anything else, everyone has their own opinions. Good luck. Blessings ~Sara

  5. Hi, Brenda:
I wish I would catch you having a good day. If I was there I'd help you sew!
It was warm again here, too. Yesterday it really smelled like fresh grass and sunshine. I haven't opened the windows, it isn't that warm. Still stitching my sampler for the giveaway and I think that's why I've been having the headaches. I will definitely use a lower-count linen next time.
The cats are waiting to be fed (again) and Junior is still playing catch up with his math homework. Mr. Glen Oaks is sitting right beside him making him get it done.
Thinking about going into the kitchen and making dinner but the boys had a late lunch and they aren't interested in eating any time soon.
    Hugs,
    Susan

  6. Sounds like a great plan to have back up with all that you do, Brenda. You might need to keep that hubby of yours around for what seems to be some common sense!!!

  11. You poor thing! There's nothing worse than having computer problems, especially when you spend as many hours a day on them as we do!

I'm not much help...my last PC was an HP and it was slow. I finally bit the bullet and bought a MacBook and now I'm a convert. I love my Mac and won't have another PC. It doesn't crash, I don't have virus problems, it doesn't hang up...I love it! They're pricey though, but in my opinion they're worth it.

Taxes? Oh please. Why did you have to bring up that horrible subject? Argh!

    Hugs,
    Pam

  12. Brenda,
I feel for you. I get so frustrated when it comes to electronics and I have little to no understanding when it comes to fixing anything with them. We used to have a laptop with a big 17" screen and I would not recommend that! It was a heavy pain in the neck. Now we just have a regular sized HP from Best Buy and it's fine. Come to think of it my sewing machine having issues is frustrating to me also!

    Good luck!

  13. Oh Brenda, I am so s orry about your computer problems! I had my share of headaches last week while trying to get my new blog going....I ended up having to start from scratch and lost everything, but at least it's working now! I went with a laptop last year after my other computer died and I am really happy with it. I have a Dell...I don't know about all the bells and whistles though, I just use it. LOL!

Hope you are back up and running real soon!

  15. Well, here I am late again - but don't have much to offer anyway. I'm not a laptop girl - don't know, just don't like not having a mouse close by - although I know my son says that, too, can be remedied. He does, tho, have a laptop - a Toshiba....and ummmm - I would NOT recommend it. I was on repair duty within one week with that sucker. Got the modem fixed (after hours of my time) and in week two, it was something else. Anywho - hope, by now, things are better for you. Good idea to have a backup though. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
