Something Simple is so Amazing Thank you

Good Morning friends. Hope this finds you all enjoying your start to a Wonderful weekend, Remember to reset those clocks tomorrow UGH...........Time change always confuses me LOL. Please note this is sort of a gripping but mushy post. It will be long and maybe boring LOL.

Ok where do I start..............let's sum it up in a simple way! October was a ROUGH month, and November is not starting out any better LOL

One weekend the Hot water tank needs to be replaced, now sure that should be a simple thing to do. But no we had to rewire and replumb etc. for this chore. In the process of it all I misplaced two boxes putting them in a pile of boxes I thought had supplies in, OH NO........they were orders. which resulted in me getting them shipped late. Customers were fine with this.. But I wasn't it stressed me out.

The next weekend my sewing machine dies in the middle of sewing up a large pile of items ordered.
Simple solution go the next and morning and replace said sewing machine, resulting in me being behind in my work!! Customers again are fine with this.......But I wasn't. Stressed out even more.

Oh did I mention my dishwasher is now messing up..........what a God send this appliance is so please pray for me because if it goes out, with the work load I have we Will use nothing but throw away dishes LOL!!!
And my stress level will surely RISE lol.

Then my FIL gets rushed to the hospital, thank the Lord he is ok, required an emergency surgery removing part of his intestine.

I did have one ANGRY customer. someone I had tried to contact several times and could not get a reply from, someone that I spent two weeks waiting for them to pay an invoice. Then they were angry when they finally paid thinking I was shipping right away. I just thought maybe they had decided they did not want their order. So during my sewing machine issue, I took a couple items from that customers box and sent on to a paying customer that was waiting for her items.  end result I refunded said customers money. Stressed again!

But through it all I had a reminder of something I had misplaced in my life...........let me explain.
About 15 years ago I lost my father, within the first 24 hour period of time I had to get my vehicle and run an errand. My heart was Heavy and I remember not thinking clearly as I was driving. I almost caused a bad accident and the other person was very unhappy with me, I remember pulling over on the side of the road and just falling apart, crying so hard it took awhile for me to be able to go on down the road. In that moment in time I promised God that I would always consider others, that I would not get upset with anyone when they annoyed me. I would always consider that the other person may be struggling or going through something difficult in life. So the end result made me think that I need to slow down and realize I will get orders out I will succeed as planned and all I can do is hope that customers will be satisfied.

By the way I am still taking orders so do not let this keep you from ordering from me. I may need the money to replace a dishwasher LOL!!!!

OK now the title of this post.

Last week I received a box from Karen of The Barely There Primitive Bear she had sent me graters I shared on another post.

Well look I got another box this time from **Cyndy of Crafty Stitchers

And yesterday I get an email from whom we all refer to as MRS claus these days online.
Yes our very own **Linda of Parkers Paradise** seems Linda has found me an army blanket and is sending it my way. Thank you all ladies for thinking about me and helping me out with the items I am having a hard time finding.

Moral of my story Friends are amazing, friends always think of others...........and I truly have some amazing online friends whom I am so thankful for. I can not venture out far because of this Vertigo mess I am still struggling with. *yes with all the stress I have had more of these episodes lately* I fear having a moment on the road somewhere and being stuck there and not being able to drive myself home. And being that I live in the boonies Thank you Lord for that one. Because I do love where I live. But it prevents me from being able to go out junking and scouting for great treasures.

So if you are still with me on this long boring post pay attention I am having a Giving moment LOL

Yes I am adding a third place prize to my giveaway so if you have not yet signed up do go *****HERE***** and get your name that is right one winner will get an Elf, one will get a box of Ornaments, and one will get a flat hanging grater with gingerbread.

I guess the real moral of this post is Stop and take the time to Consider others, we are coming upon a season where everyone should be joyful and in Happy spirits but sadly things happen in life and we need to always consider that the other person...........yup the one driving like an idiot in front of you, or the pushy one at the store, or the clerk that is rude. Always stop and think that they too may be going through something that is sad or hard in their lives.

Hope I have not totally made you think that I have lost my mind LOL
Have a wonderful weekend and for those that are still suffering from the Snow storms please know that my prayers are with you, I hope you are staying warm and that you will have power back soon.

Brenda

  1. It seems everything always goes wrong at once, lol.
My dishwasher doesn't work right, but works so still using it, though I usually wash the dishes myself and just rinse in it.

I always taught my kids that, when others are mean or angry, maybe there is a reason and being nice no matter what can make a big difference and make them think too;)

  2. Honey, you have been so kind to me - and many others. I felt the least I could do was be on the lookout for a few things! You are a true artisan and I am so proud to know you and to be able to display so many of your offerings in my home.
You are right. Sometimes we are so busy we don't take time to consider the feelings of others, their stress.
    But, honestly, sometimes.....some people.......are just a**es! :)
    Luv ya,

  4. Brenda, your post today is a reminder that we do need to be considerate of others as we never know what it's like to walk in the others shoes. It also made me cry thinking of a similar situation I recently had where I wasn't thinking of the other person but my feelings. Long story. So not like me as I always put others needs first like most of us women do.
I'll keep your dishwasher and YOU in my prayers!
One thing I've learned since being among such wonderful bloggers is that everyone is so caring and thoughtful and supportive of one another. We are blessed indeed.
And as for the customer you mentioned, well I had one like that, got the info for the order, sent invoice but never paid. So I emailed again, oh, she wanted it but still didn't pay the invoice. Two weeks later I voided it and never heard back. Not sure if something happened to her but noticed that she was no longer a follower. It made me sad, not mad. Again, I had to think that something happened or she changed her mind.
Hang in there my friend! Have a great weekend.
    Blessings,
    Sheila

  6. Well said Brenda. I will never forget purchasing a pair of shoes one morning before work. The clerk was a developmentally delayed gentleman. It was taking him FOREVER..and I was in a hurry! My boyfriend at the time was with me. I left the store ranting and raving about how long it took him. My bf took my hand and looked at me..right in the eyes...and said.."Katie, couldn't you see he was trying very hard to do HIS very best. To be sure he did everything correctly. And didn't make any mistakes." I felt like an enormous...well I won't say what I felt like because this is a family post, lol. But you can imagine. From that day forward...I'm with you...I really try to take a deep breath and remember this is all for a reason. Remember you are one person..you can only do what you can do. Slow down and ENJOY what you are doing. We will all wait..we know YOU are worth the wait!!! Katie

  7. Awww Sweetie - what a wonderful post - not that so many things are going haywire for you - but for you "take" on things and the gentle reminder that sometimes kindness in the face of rudeness is the very best response. Hope things get better - and the dishwasher holds up (hmmm...I'm not blessed with one of those - could that be why I'm so far behind in everything???) Take could care of yourself - glad some friends came through for you....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  10. Oh Brenda I truly hope your November gets better. I know how you feel though. I have been parked along side the road for a month. Thanks for the bit of advice. We do have to remember that others might just be having a bad day.
(Or might be just idiots). Hmmm okay Brenda says be nice.
I hope your dishwasher and all other appliances are not idiots and get working as they should.

  13. Brenda, hang in there, things will get better. Sometimes we don't always know what others are going through and have to step back and think about it. You sound like you have alot on your plate right now with making things and other things going wrong.
But things will work out. Good luck with getting things to work again.
