A Summer we will not forget

It was 107 today!!! Oh my goodness we just came in from taking the dogs out
And it is still over 100 right now!! HOT HOT HOT!!!
Over a month of triple digits here

Not complaining I love fall but I Do NOT like winter!!!

Pulled up some plants today just made me sad, no matter how much we have watered
everything is Dead, the grass is all brown in southern Oklahoma
And the leafs on the trees are so dry several have started falling!

The Heat Index is so bad when you go outside it hurts it just takes your breath away

Ok maybe I am complaining LOL

Hope you are cooler then we are
Brenda

  2. Here in East Tn we are not in drought conditions, but it has been hot since June. I heard a meteorologist say the other day that Aug, Sept, and Oct would be normal. I don't like being snowed in in the winter. One snow does me.lol We are high 90's.

  3. I know what you mean. It hurts to be out for very long. I get headaches and cramps. I try to stay inside but I'm not having much luck with that!

  8. Wow...I don't think I can begin to imagine what you're going through. We usually have a hot, dry, spell sometime in summer and our drought each year - but this year has been different - grass is still green and lush and we are getting regular (sometimes torrential) rains. Very humid, but temps no where near what you all are having. Prayers for relief for your area....Hugs ~ Robin

  9. This is just crazy! We went to our house this weekend in Texas and everything was burnt up, down there and it is not much better, here! I hate to wish my life away, but come on OCTOBER! I went through Canton, but not by the flea market, so I don't know how many set up, probably not that many....I wouldn't, I can tell ya that! I am staying in all I can...Take care...

  12. Yikes Brenda, now that is HOT! We are finally starting to warm up here, how about we do a trade, a little of your heat for a little of our coolness and rain?! So sorry about your poor plants, grass and trees, hope they will bounce back next year or when the rain finally starts to fall. Hang in there, fall is just around the corner! Deb
