One of my Babies will be leaving tomorrow, And I am pondering a New adventure

Good Sunday Evening
Hope you are staying cool today we are having our 18th straight day of 100 plus temps

by 100 plus I mean heavy on that plus LOL
Friday it was 107 to just give you an example

Well tomorrow if we can get in we will be going for puppy and mama shots
And then the breeder will meet me there to get his pup
Oh my I am sort of sad!!
As soon as Mom gets her shots she will be getting groomed poor Shelby
She is miserable with all of that fur

Just look at that lovely *Not* burnt up grass
We are not suppose to water it is breaking my heart!
Everything is so parched and it is sad!!

So the one that will be leaving tomorrow is
*Rowdy Cowboy*
He will be missed so let me tell you how he got his name
Rowdy never sits still, the pen we have fixed up in the living room is like 3 foot high
He will back up against one side of the fence and run and try to jump the other side
He does this over and over again he seems to think he is big enough for anything
It is funny to watch as he is lucky to be 6 inches tall standing on his back legs LOL

Yes I am more attached then I should be
Jackson will get his mug shot up on the board at the Vet's office
In hopes of finding a Good Loving Home for him

My new adventure?? I am hoping anyway

My early followers may remember me mentioning a few years ago I had a shop
In Gladewater Texas
*The East Texas Antique Capitol*
Gladewater is a wonderful place to visit with lots of antique stores

Well it is a three hour trip for me to go to Gladewater
But hubby suggested to me last evening that I may check into finding a store
to sell my items WOW for that to come from him is surprising

So I emailed a Wonderful Sweet Friend of mine that still does business in Gladewater
And she is going to check on booths for me, and she also offered to keep my booth
checked and straight etc. Another WOW
Oh I have pondered and pondered the thought of having my creations in a store again
Sure I sell wholesale to several shop owners
but for me to have an actual booth would just
thrill me to death!! I miss my store so much
And I had wonderful customers that really were unhappy when I closed so
We could relocate back to Oklahoma

So I am not going to get my hopes up but my Mind is in overdrive here
Gladewater's yearly Craft show is in September and their Christmas Open House
in early November so I would love to have my booth by September

We would make a trip at least every two months another reason I am thrilled
I just love that little town and I have been wanting to go back so bad!

Saying a prayer here if it is meant to be it will all work out

On another note, I am working on my August Giveaway be watching for that post towards the end of this week
Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend

Brenda

  1. Hopefully, this doesn't mean we would lose you here in blogland?
I have come to really enjoy our friendship. I do want the very best for you and I want you to be happy. I will stop being so selfish and I will pray that your dreams come true. It would be nice to have a booth, wouldn't it? I used to do that but it was 20 years ago. It is fun and very fulfilling. OK! I'm hooked. I really want this for you!
    Happy Sunday!

  2. Brenda, That sounds so neat. Having your own booth and someone to tend it for you. Such a good friend. I sure hope things work out for you. Would love to walk into a booth where your goodies were. Love your work.
Your puppies are so cute. I am not a dog person but they are so cuddly. Try and stay cool. I so dislike hot weather and storms. Have a good evening.

  3. First off, the puppies are adorable and have grown by leaps and bounds...LOL! I'm sure it's gotta be hard to see them go.
Next...I am so excited for you. That would be so awesome if you were able to get a booth. Your work is so awesome. I have a few of your pieces and I see that each one is stitched with Love. I hope all goes well and I will say a prayer. That's soooo exciting! Try to stay cool and have a wonderful week!

  4. Hi, Brenda...I hope all the puppies go to good homes. I still remember Shelby's "labor" that you shared with her. I'm glad you are keeping that little rascal. That should make Shelby happy, getting to raise and keep one of her babies. The shop news is very exciting indeed. I had a booth in a large Craft Store on the Cape, in Dennis right on the water. I maintained and stocked the booth, but when I couldn't make the trip, you could send a box of items and the staff would fill the booth. I did very well there. Sadly, that location closed and there is only one I know of in Shrewsbury, MA. They don't seem to get the traffic of buyers like Cape Cod did. Maybe again someday...

  6. I just love those pups, they are so cute.
How wonderful to have your own booth and that someone can watch it for you. We have a place here that is a huge barn style and the downstairs is owned by the shop, so new and old items, then upstairs is all booths with antiques and prim goods. There is one person who watches the upstairs and checks out the items, so it is nice for the sellers, since they don't have to be there.

  15. Brenda,

Good luck on the booth thing. I haven't had a booth in a store for many years now. I'm sure you will do well there if things work out.

The puppies are getting so big and are too cute.

We are getting your heat wave here on the east coast and can't say that I am too happy, but I'll stay inside more than usual in the ac and paint for my upcoming show next month.

  17. Good morning Brenda - it's hard not to get attached to those cute little balls of fur isn't it??

I wish you good luck in your new venture - it sounds so exciting and I know you will so great.

It's been hot here too, and things are browning up, but it has rained a little this morning, which will help. Love waking up to the rumbles of thunder and soft rain.

    Enjoy you week dear!

  21. I would have a hard time giving the puppies up too! Yours are so cute and love the spunkiness!
We live in central Texas and it is too stinking hot here. I don't like the cold so the north is out of the equation but I wouldn't mind being a winter Texan as so many people do.
Good luck in your endeavors and I will have to see if we are anywhere close to Gladewater as I LOvE Craft shows.

  22. Hi Brenda! Sad that you have to give up a puppy already, but I hope he will be very happy in his new home!

I also hope your new adventure works out great. Gladewater sure sounds wonderful, and how awesome that your friend is willing to help out since you don't live close!
