I came across an amazing Primitive Vintage Quilt last week

And I whipped up several Pillows from it

I love working with tattered vintage quilts

I often find myself thinking of the little ole hands that created such a lovely

thing, hand making the entire thing with so much love

using what they had on hand, in those days ladies did not go out and buy

wonderful contrasting fabrics to make works of art they made quilts

for the purpose of warmth

I do have a quilt that I can not bear to cut up it is extremely old

put together with actual pieces of clothing for the layers of batting it is so heavy and

just packed with some amazing old prints

I was just emailing Lecia of Farm House Prims

Last night and we were speaking of those days

I recall my grandmother sitting in her living room with her quilt frames that hung from the ceiling, always hand making some wonderful quilts
