I need a New Finger

Ok so this picture is not one I am proud to share
I need a manicure......but there is nobody gonna touch this puppy for a long time
So many have emailed and asked me about my finger
Yep the one I put the drill Bit through OUCH, it is better much better but still tender!
I can not clean the nail or clip it, and I dare not think about the cuticle because from the hole up on that one side is loose
Yep I can take the left tip of my finger nail and actually move my nail it is not attached well at all!!! I snag it on stuff and it puts tears in my eyes LOL
The ridges in my finger nails are something I have had for years!
I have a vitamin defeiency
Yesterday Hubby helped me move everything out of our bedroom and I rearranged
it all, giving me so much more room to set up a better work area
I have my eye on so many items I have gone online and picked out things for our house and every month I will make a purchase so I am excited that I will get to decorate
It may take all year but I will get there.
I am sewing and as soon as I finish this rabbit I will post my January Giveaway
Today is my Mother's Birthday!!!
Today my Sister should be getting out of the hospital, she had her cancer surgery
Prayers please for Cindy
Have a Wonderful day
Brenda

  4. It has been a long 2 weeks of holiday stuff and family. I am glad to be back to my blog life and hope to catch up with all my friends.
Praying for your sister Cindy. My brother is having his surgery on Jan. 12.
Congratulations on winning the pattern from Maureen. Great stuff there.
I know what you are going through with that finger. The new nail will eventually push off the old one, but it may never look the same again. I lost a toenail about 30 years ago and it has been retarded ever since. The good news is the tenderness does go away.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back and hope all else is good with you. Looking forward to a new year full of promise and pleasant reading!

  5. The finger is looking fairly good, but I am sure it will hurt for quite some time - I can't imagine doing that!
I will pray for your sister and hope that the surgery will help her to recover completely. It is a scary time for your family I am sure.

Can't wait to see your rabbit - I've got to get busy on things too! It is exciting to decorate isn't it - hope you have a lot of fun doing that.

  7. Happy Birthday to your mom, Brenda! And my best to your sister for continued recovery. Sorry to hear the finger is still tender but it sure does look alot better than the last photo! I'd wrap a bandage or some tape around it to keep it from snagging. That's got to hurt when you catch it!
Have fun with your decorating. I'm trying to do the same thing!
    Happy New Year!

  11. Brenda your nail looks a whole lot better! I'm sure you will lose the nail.
Tell your Mom I said Happy Birthday and I will be praying for your sister.
I know this sounds silly but it worked for me, my Mom and my husband.LOL Sally Hansen has a nail strengener that will take those ridges right out of your nails. My husband didn't believe it until I persuaded him to let me try it. It's clear and doesn't shine but does wonders for the nails. I even use it on my toe nails. Try it and see if it helps, Valerie

  12. Ouch-Brenda! At least when I do something good it is too my CAR!
I am a nurse and would rather "give then than receive"....I am such a baby when it comes to things like your finger.
Hope it heals well and fast!
Best to you in this New Year!!

  13. Oh Brenda, know that my prayers are with Cindy and your family. I hope and pray all has gone well.

    Happy Birthday to your Mother!

You're poor finger. Ouch!!! I could barely look at the photo... I was getting so many sympathy pains for you. Bandage it if you can to keep it safe for as long as you can. Ouchie.

I hope all goes well for your sister and your family.

    Hugs and blessings,

  15. Brenda,

Your finger looks better than it did, but I'm sure it still is very tender. Happy B-day to your mom and hope things work out for your sister.

  16. Well at least it's healing but I know it has to still be tender. I've been working on crafting area too trying to figure out what kind of cabinets will work best for what I need.

Happy Belated Birthday to your mother! Praying for Cindy, hope all went well with her surgery.
