Good Morning, Happy Groundhogs day

This has to be the most watched Critter in the world, to see if he sluggishly crawls out, if he sees that shadow or doesn't. The poor guy, or is he? He is popular!

Everyone watches and waits but does everyone believe?

He is honored with a day all his own, on calendars and in celebrations

Even Broadcasted in the news as millions watch on

With the unseasonable warm weather this year I am sure most like me are ready for an early spring. Our trees are already budding out in Oklahoma.

My yard *weed patch* has never lost it's hints of green this year, which is hard to believe since it turned brown last June and stayed that way until winter?

Our plans this year are to seed the yard, and I can not wait to plant everything I had planned on planting this past spring.

As most know we had to pay a visit to the Vet this week, and he did say that due to no major freezing, this year is going to be a bad one for fleas and ticks!

Yes my wildflowers have poked their green heads above the ground

And will surely bloom early this year, or will we have a Winter before it is over with? Is it not amazing that we wait and wonder?

I am ready for warmer weather just not the stormy weather that comes with it

I am a funny sort of person, like several others I complain about time flying by BUT!

At this time of the year I am ready for it to fly by because it is so close to SPRING!!

Rango's doctor visit

We are home, poor baby, I do not know what was worse listening to her whining while back in the room being treated, or watching Shelby gets antsy and whine too while we were in the waiting room

Warning the picture is YUCKY

They shaved her paw and took the top off and cleaned it all out not it is a crater on her paw

Had to give her a long acting antibiotic shot and some antibiotic and numbing cream

He feels is will heal but if not they will have to go cut it all out!!

The doctor said to get her a LARGE bone something she had to work at to chew on to keep her mind off of it, and to apply the cream to the area. He thinks it is from a injury she could of gotten anything in her paw and since the air was not getting to it the spot could not heal.

This weekend we noticed Rango gnawing on her paw, not on the paw pad but on the top of it!

There is a knot on top of her paw and she has it apparently infected.

So we have an appointment in the morning to see the Doc!!

Shelby has been taking good care of her

It is her right front paw! I have given up I have tried everything to keep them from

licking or chewing on it. Well Shelby stops her from chewing and just licks it?

I know probably too much information. But I am worried. She does not favor the paw or seem to be in pain

So we shall visit the place they least like to go to in the morning and see what we are up against?

And boy oh boy I thought Shelby was rotten now Rango has really played on this attention she is getting

from us and from her protective concerned MAMA!!

Hope you have all had a wonderful Monday today is my hubbies birthday

Preparing a nice dinner, baked him a cake, and now he is working Late LOL

So I have a Very Special Friend and fellow member of the Primitive and Folk Artists etsy team

that I would like to share with you today

I first want to say that when I begin selling on Etsy this friend was my first customer!

Since then I can say we have shared many creations between us and I am thrilled to have items in my home

That she and her hubby have made!

Let me introduce you to Carol and Timmy of

I have this shelf hanging by my front door, in the winter we hang our coats on the cut nails

Timmy and Carol go beyond all measures to turn out the greatest quality of wood creations

They will work with you on custom orders I know this because I have three shelves they built special for me in my bathroom

And I have a wish list I have requested a Toaster cover next but things got in the way

and I have to wait awhile to get that, but look at this Noodle Board oh my word

Let me say this Carol and Timmy made me a shelf to sit on my commode and you can use their items in so many ways instead my hubby hung it behind my stove for a spice shelf and this Noodle Board would look

wonderful with it!!!

Good Morning a WIP and Sleepy Dogs

Good Friday Morning to you all

Sitting here with coffee all curled up in this chair

And Shelby and Rango all curled up in a blanket on the recliner

Shaggy Dogs!!!

Shelby stays cold Rango stays hot??

Every time I have had an appointment to get them cut I cancel LOOK at Rango oh my word, she does not even look white yes she gets baths But I am out of blue shampoo for white dogs, if you have a white dog there is a special shampoo that brings out the white in their fur when they are bathed, yes just like the blue shampoo for gray or white haired folks

*chilly this morning but it is going to be 70 here today*

CAN you hear me shouting with joy?

I have to think about getting out of the house and taking a much dreaded trip to YUP you have got to be able to guess this one THE metal place AGAIN!!!

Am I the only one that does not like to have to go ANYWHERE?

I think it is the thought of putting on clothes and not taking a shower and putting on fresh PJ's to hang out in all day long LOL!! I am truly a homebody, just looked out my window and it is SO foggy out

so I will wait for the fog to lift before I go

OH and do not worry the other drivers on the road will be safe this morning No metal hanging over to cope with, just some supplies to finish the job on the deck! AND more of the carpenters aprons I can not believe I have found a local source for them

And they have no advertising on the fronts, they are great canvas also and a reasonable price

Now if it were spring I would not mind this trip because I could take in some garage sales

while I am out, I miss being in East Texas you could find garage sales year round there!

I have several of these in the works that I will be listing in a few days

Of course the dowels will be cut shorter for the sunflowers This one will have a larger amount of the broom corn in it I got the graphics at

I also have one with a vintage looking sewing graphic with vintage sewing supplies inside

And a Shabby Chic or Cottage style one that is not stained with burlap on the pocket and vintage crochet and other items on the pocket And inside of it. And I am finishing up five of the American ones that I have orders for.

I have a small wholesale order almost finished and a snowman order! Oh I have missed my wholesale business, I suppose mostly because of the volume of business I was doing daily, yes it can be stressful but I do enjoy it! And I hope to get back to it real soon, we have a man working on a bid for us for a building

We will see? If so maybe I could get my studio done sooner then I thought which would

be great, I am so tired of trying to possibly rearrange things to have more room in such a tiny area

Yes the coffee has kicked in and I am babbling, so I will wish you all a Wonderful Weekend and say Goodbye for now

American Apron Pocket

Hello, well the sun is shining but it is Chilly here

The sunshine just makes me Wish that Spring would get here sooner

I have been behind on so much lately due to stopping and taking some time in hopes of feeling better

Had a Horrible Migraine all day yesterday *Sigh* So yes I feel like I have been run over by a BIG truck today

But I am pleased with this day so far, I will be shipping out items that should of already been mailed

on Monday and Tuesday and then I will work on some new items and finish some others that I have had

Started or some time now, here is one of those items

I should of straightened the contents up some but, this is half of a carpenters apron, stained and filled

with Americana themed items.

I have one with sunflowers in it also, I am loving these. Remember my trip to the Metal place to pick

up a roof for a deck, well I grabbed up several of these aprons while there. So I have many plans for them.

I just got a disc full of life time pictures of my two oldest children for Christmas

Feeling much better these days and I have been featured

Hoping you all are having a wonderful day

Wow sometimes I think it is great to sit back and look at what you may be doing to make

life more difficult on you then what it has to be.

I feel great!!! In fact and I am sure lots will lecture me here but I have had one heck of a multi tasking day

in a slow mode way.......simple no hard stuff and it is just 2:37 in the afternoon WOW

But I have done my things slow and enjoyed doing them, here is a recap of my day so far

I took care of internet business today until almost noon, paid bills etc, I did break long enough to take a shower then finished on the internet , then I ran errands.

I had to go to three places knew what I needed took care of it

And came home *with good new treats for Miss Shelby and Miss Rango*

Yes I knew they would not be happy with me leaving them in their cage today!!

I have almost finished an order and I have traced and sewn all other orders I have right now

I am baking potatoes........to help heat the house some, GEE it got cold here!!

I am making Loaded Baked Potato soup for dinner tonight YUM!!

Have done a load of laundry, changed the linens on my bed and I am now taking a break to blog and relax awhile. And I guess because of not stressing about getting everything accomplished today it has all worked out great. I believe other then finishing my meal this evening I will take the rest of the day to SIT!

Tonight I will watch TV with hubby not my favorite thing in the world I am not a TV person

and I will trim and turn what I have sewn up so I can stuff tomorrow and finish a few started items

My babies were going to the groomers tomorrow but I think I will wait it should warm back up soon

They would chill if I got them trimmed now! DARN it all I was hoping winter was somehow just simply going to miss the state of Oklahoma this year NOPE guess not

I keep forgetting to come and post that I have been featured **HERE**

Sometimes it is best to slow the mind and body down so you can actually enjoy what you are doing

So take it slow and enjoy Life folks, it does not get any better then that

Can't remember where I grabbed this from this week, sorry

I just love vintage style valentines, they bring back so many memories

Yes I suppose that means I am a bit vintage myself, hmm maybe a lot vintage *Smile*

Sorry I have not been on in a week, I have not done much of anything in a week

My house work needs to be done EEK...sigh

Hubby is under the weather and home today seems everyone has the crude

I did jump on board with this week while taking it easy, just have not done much on there

right now, but wow what a wonderful site I do look forward to pinning

I have not sewn this week, I hope to trace some items and do that today just going to take it slow

so what Have I done for a week of no work, well I have done simple things

I have several hangings in the process of completion, that involve nothing but hand work and

Items inserted into them, that is all I can share as of now but they are Prim and fun and I love them.

And I will be sharing them with you soon, I am doing some debating of where I will list them at?

I will be giving one away in February on my blog, and by the way they are all different

I have some protective clear page sleeves on the way to me so I can organize my messy boxed up patterns

Yes I am tired of being unorganized with supplies, so I have decided to get organized

I can't wait to do all of my patterns up with new card stock pattern pieces and then put them into

categories by season etc.

Then to find some kind of wonderful storage unit for them to all fit into, I have a 50.00 Hobby Lobby

Gift certificate I got for Christmas, and I hope to find something when it is on clearance or at 50% off

I miss going to Hobby Lobby wish it was not so far away from me!

I have a Winner for my Giveway and HELP

Wow the first Monday of 2012!!

Our Fence?? Well it keeps us in, but I do now have a gate so I can escape LOL
And what was I thinking? Now that Rango can run around and play, you do not want to see a picture of her.
I just gave her a bath a few days ago, and she and Shelby rolled in the dirt most of the day yesterday and oh my GOSH she is DIRTY!

They were both so worn out last night. I am thrilled that she can now run and play. It did not take her long to realize she wan't to let us know she needed outside more often. Before she went out when Shelby wanted out.

But She can still escape!! We purchased some wire that we can string and stretch tight along the bottom, so she will not have a large enough gap to squeeze through. Hopefully we will get that up this week. So in the mean time I have to still go out with them.

I am looking for a quilt, a Couple of years ago I had a wonderful Quilt that was Red and White in the flying Geese Pattern. I do not need the flying geese it just needs to be either red and white, or red white and blue

Handmade completely, yes hand pieced and hand quilted.

It can be worn and tattered as well. Even one that has mostly red in it. I have so many requests for items and I am having no luck finding one, Unless I want to pay high dollar for one, and by that I mean LOTS!!

Using **Lynn's picture from Painting Thyme Needfuls** Yes she purchased this stocking from me as well as the American arrangement above.

So if anyone can find something or may have something please leave a comment or email me. It does not have to be a complete quilt a cutter is fine. I just really need one bad and I am willing to pay good for it just not HUGE !!! I would even be willing to do some swapping for some handmade items.

Happy New Year, where have I been?

Hello everyone sorry I have been MIA lately. I haven't been feeling real good, I have been busy with some business, and darn it I feel tired all the time!!

We put up a fence today for Rango and Shelby a little picket fence!! And guess What...................

Shelby is mad and pouty, Because she can no longer take off to where ever she may want to! I am Happy with that, I do not have to stand outside and holler for her because she has gone off too far.

And this one the little ~~Brat~~ Rango!!! I am not HAPPY with, She Can squeeze through the pickets and get out! so now it seems we have to add some smaller boards along the bottom of it. WOW we worked all day on this project and now it appears we will be doing the same thing tomorrow.Sorry I have not commented on your blogs today, I have read everyone's wonderful New Year Posts. I promise this next week, that I am going to attempt to comment more on the blogs I follow and love to read.

Wow a New Year (Already) Where does time go to? But you know something through my worrying the past couple of weeks about some things, and my not feeling well. I just realized something, sort of late in life as far as I am concerned!

I see so many say the same thing I always have. It seems the older we get the faster time flies by. That is of course not the truth at all. Read on...........

While outside today I wished for this, Green plants, Spring time *Yes maybe even the occasional little snake* You can keep the large ones LOL! Oh my we did have beautiful weather today. It is suppose to turn cold tomorrow!

As much as I want spring time to get here, warm weather. Time to enjoy the outdoors and Nature. It will get here when it does, and it won't be long. So stop so to speak, smell the flowers, even if you are smelling a candle while the weather prevents the flowers from growing!!

Last week one morning I found myself looking at the clock on my computer while I was making some important calls, thinking I wonder how long this one will take, I have things to get done! Well I stopped when I got off of the phone and I thought, What is wrong with me? I can not adjust the time, no matter what I do a second clicks away to the minutes, the minutes turn into hours etc.

So I slowed down the remainder of the day, and oh my I got more done in that one day then I normally do.

I felt good, no I felt GREAT. I enjoyed the day!

Sometimes I believe I for one, cause time to fly faster. With my stress, work load, schedule, errands, housework, gee I am busy! As I am sure all of you are.

I have decided to approach this new year in a New Way. Yes I have my ~~resolution~~ Goals written down

I have things planned to accomplish.........But my first one on my list to to slow down.

Please let me explain, I still intend to get many things made, have my monthly giveaways, I hope to sell a lot of my creations this year, my goals are still set high, the list is long. But I intend to enjoy each day of my life.

To stop myself from letting time get away from me, to Slow down by still working hard, but to stop fretting, and to take my time, Because a hour can last an hour........or you can live life in such a rush, that it seems an hour goes by too quickly! Either way I promise you there are the same minutes in an hour. It does not change a thing to rush everything right on by!

I wish each one of you a Very Happy New Year, filled with Joy, Happiness, Health, and Love, and the time to enjoy everything you do!

OH how I miss the other Two but we did keep that funny looking little White one

being advertised. My hubby would look at her and say are you going to have me a little Rango LOL

Well thus the name stuck, and it fit because for those that recall we thought she had three boys.

Rango!! Shelby is loving and sweet Rango is a Mess!!!

We got the movie Rango and it is a Whoot watching her

She watches TV, just last night we watched the movie Cowboys and Aliens

She barks at every critter she sees on TV and if she is not barking

she sits and growls this low toned little growl

I will be bathing these two today and hopefully be able to capture a Great picture of them

Back to the year in review!!

My hubby and I both have three children each

All grown adults!!

Our boys are two weeks apart in age and they both married this year

One in May the other in July!

My youngest son and my new DIL

I am so proud of you two! Even though you moved so far away

I miss you guys and love you a bunch

We never get pictures of the others or I would share them with you

Hubby is going to be a grandpa this spring, I snatched this one from his daughter on FB

Congratulations they are such a sweet couple!!

A Gift in the Mail

First I want to say thank you to everyone who has commented or sent me an email, sorry I have not answered the emails or responded to comments. But I appreciate everyone's kindness so much, It brings me to tears to know that I have so many kind friends online.

And while I am here I want to thank you all that have sent me Beautiful Christmas Cards this year! I have never in my life time gotten this many cards before.
I did get a gift yesterday from a Very Special friend. Most of you know
*Lynn of Painting Thyme Needfuls* Be sure to say a little prayer for her family right now, Her daughter Julz is currently in labor??? Last I read on FB. Baby Nathan is going to grace a family with lots of love when he arrives today!!

I have been wanting to do my kitchen in Chickens and Roosters and have not had a chance to get to that yet

I love It Lynn thank you, This is one for The Winter season, sorry for the bad picture I am fighting a horrible headache today. There are snowmen on the bottom of it, and look at that Candy Cane in it's wing. It is so much better then this picture!

Good Morning Friends, and indeed I can say that and BELIEVE in it also.

If you prefer not to read my personal junked up mess LOL!! Go to the bottom of this post and please read about how TRUE and SWEET and WONDERFUL and KIND others can be when the need arrives in a Bloggers life for some HELP!!!

ME post!!!
Let me share a little of why I feel that way, I myself do not have friends, In that I mean those that I spend time with, visit with on the phone etc. someone to go shopping with to laugh and enjoy good times with. I am a loner so to speak, I have not always been this way, when I was a single person, and working a job, I had lots of friends. I just made a move away from them all, met and married my hubby and since then I Have not had friends to visit with go places with, share with etc.

BUT I am blessed with many online friends, and I truly feel that, I have had so many emails lately as to where I have been and how am I. Yes I have been silent recently, Life just sometimes throws us those curve balls, YEP the ones that hit you in the face and HURT!! But hey I am okay I am a strong person, and I refuse to let anyone's hateful ways ruin that for me, so how do you handle things? Do you fly off the handle get upset, let things provoke you to a point of blurting it out? I don't, sometimes I think it would help. But I know it won't change things, so I will not share and say things I will regret later. I will contain myself and get over it LOL.

A very Wise and Sweet lady once told me *If you have nothing kind to say it is best not to say anything at all* And *If you allow someone to get you down, someone to tear your heart up, then you can only Blame one person and that is YOURSELF*

Just recently, and I will confess that I all too well know the worry that our blogging Friend is encountering right now. One Blogger spoke out for a little help, and I admire her, she is a Sweet gal and she so deserves some assistance. So another blogger started a Silent Auction, Please go over to Traci's blog
*****CLICK HERE***** Several other bloggers have jumped in with donations to help as well, There is a wonderful group of Items to be won by the highest bidder, But above that the satisfaction of knowing that you are purchasing the items and all of the funds will go to Help Someone!! And if you have never known that feeling that unselfish feeling of doing something to benefit someone elses needs, Oh I can not describe how wonderful it is. I could not bid when I saw the post because funds are extremely tight for me right now, as I am sure that most of you are experiencing as well with Christmas.

If you can not bid, no problem but you can share you can get the word out to many others that may not see it otherwise, that in itself is a way to contribute to the need. So please do go to ****York Mountain primitives**** And share the link with everyone you know. I have donated a handmade item myself for the cause, and my contribution is small but full of LOVE

And while you are out with you last minute running that last stressful weekend to purchase a gift, do me a favor, If you only throw a few pennies in the red buckets at stores, those add up. Or if you see a family that looks like they could really use some love at this time of the year, Stop and consider how fortunate you are, I see so many complain about funds and how tight things are, that share all the time all the purchases that they make, That have Christmas Trees with several gifts under them, if you have never experienced a Christmas without gifts, A week without funds for groceries etc. A need to go for medical care with no insurance and no money *Only to be shunned at a doctors office* then you are truly a Blessed person.

Because many of these folks that are hurting so bad, many that do not know what or how they will get by,

They still believe in HOPE they still have FAITH and many of them never complain!!

No KIND gesture, even to say Merry Christmas to a STRANGER, no simple ACT of kindness can measure up more then in the heart of someone who honestly needs!!! A True gift is not wrapped in fancy packaging a TRUE gift is not Tied with a pretty bow, A True gift costs no money

A True gift is a simple act of kindness that may lift the spirits of someone who is hurting

White Lighting, A Swap, And Mr. Jingles is Here

Well don't ever let Size fool you when it comes to SPEED!!!! OH my word I almost had a Heart Attack!

Everyday when the Mail Carrier picks up my boxes, the minute they hear her Honk her horn, when she drives in the driveway they get all Excited!! So about noon today they alert me that there is a honk? So I open the door and out they go. But WAIT!!! Boxes are now on the deck and I am taking off down the road.

There was this huge Brown dog chasing a car and they were the ones honking not the mail Carrier. Rango and Shelby are on their tails going down the middle of the road?? OMG...........I take off I know that by shouting out Shelby will stop, she minds!! Rango on the other hand is still going, Here I am in my PJ'S yup it is a PJ day girls!! And house shoes chasing after Rango I twisted my already messed up ankle *UGH age and a past injury that I pay for in Pain* So I stop in my tracks but continue to yell out to Rango, I look up and there She is running towards me with the Big Brown dog on her REAR!! Good thing I was there he was just fixing to take a chunk out of her back side when I screamed!!! I went to scoop her up and she turns around to yap at the big dog more........She thinks she is tough at 9 pounds and she can handle anything!! I was so upset by the time I got hold of her I did not even scold her for taking off.

So we come inside, get settled after I let my Heart Rate get back to normal. And then there is another HONK. This time I saw her pull into the drive so out they go again. They love to meet her at her door because she treats them with a bone everyday LOL. SPOILED!!!

And yes I had packages today!! I am a Member of an Etsy team called

And we had an Ornament Swap my partner was Deb of **Stitches To Treasure** I was so excited because we all know my tree is lacking in Handmade ornaments so I wasted no time unwrapping them and they went directly onto my tree.

A New Santa and Our Tree

Good afternoon, where ever you may be, what ever you may be doing, I hope you are enjoying this Saturday!

My Metal Trip Yesterday.............well I made it home, but I won't say without incident And no I did not say accident, although I am fortunate that was not the results!

Now to go to this place........remember we live at a large lake and away from everything! I have to drive over to the next town from the little town I live outside of. It is two lanes roads. I did not scream I did not shake my fist, I maintained myself, but this one lady............Now let me explain I drive a White Pickup and this metal was a stone *beige if you will Color* very hard to see, And when you have a stack of metal that hangs over your open tail gate by 4 FOOT there is nothing to attach a flag to on the end of it making it easier to see.

This Lady.............SIGH *smiles* she was on my rear all the way from one town to the other, the worst of it she was on her cell phone..........She was behind me for almost the whole trip home GRRRRRR......there is one *ONE* stop light in the town I live outside of.........and YES she is still on her phone, and she just keeps creeping up at the light behind me getting closer and closer.....There was someone in front of me, I could not get away LOL!! I bet she was only 2 inches from the end of the metal, I just kept thinking go ahead #*@ you know what I mean *HIT IT* I dare you to hit it!! it might HURT LOL!!!

And then I found myself laughing at this long winded light..........thinking if you get red paint on that clean new metal I am going to jump out of this pickup and make you go to the hardware store get some paint and fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!! *I know you would never want to be on the same road as me HUH?*

So I decide while I am in town to stop at the Dollar Store *This is where said incident took place at*
The Dollar store has a Mexican restaurant beside it And low and behold there are two city cops cars sitting there because they are inside having lunch!! I pull into the parking lot off of the highway and all the metal goes flying to one side of the pickup...........OOPS................now I am looking out my drivers side mirror and seeing metal..........yes the metal that was sticking straight out the back of the pickup. I creep up into a parking spot well two MIND you!!! And I get out put on a work glove from behind the seat and stand there looking at it with this DUMB founded look on my face. Thinking I wonder if this 125 pound gal can push that stack back over to the center of the pickup bed...........I never seize to amaze myself........it just slid right over where it was *Well let's just say not without hurting said young ladies side LOL*, so here I am thanking God out in the parking lot..........thinking if I would of dumped that load of metal I would of been in TROUBLE!!! Not only with hubby and the FIL for bending it all up but with the Law that was close by!!

Ok enough about my trip!!!!! That is the Second deck roof I have gone to pick up at that metal place and the next time..........someone else WILL be elected for the job. I am retiring LOL

And I am going to share pictures of my tree, I have done something to the setting on the camera UGH and I can not get the flash to turn off, oh the joys of my days........I do not have time to read to learn. I wonder if I can manage to put a post it note on the camera that I can put a cheat sheet on it until I figure all of this out *I have them on everything else it seems LOL* Sometimes I even freshen them up, yes I rewrite them and replace them with new ones !!! I need to shut up and share.........before everyone of you clicks the UNFOLLOW button LOL

This is actually a 6 foot tree but darn when you are in a Tiny room it is hard to get a shot of it. Every time in past years when I had a large tree it would be covered with ornaments but no Not this year?? I still have had no time to finish any for myself.

Now on the top of this dear sweet tree it this long UGLEE *smiles* branch because I do not have a Tree topper, guess I could just print a star on a piece of cardstock, add some glitter and say *There ya BE*

Ok so I have more then one tree, That tiny little thing I have shown in past posts is now sitting on top of the bar

*Well what we wish was a wide bar but instead it is a Want to BE Bar..........between my kitchen and living room. Yes we have to have our fish tree!!!

Again please ignore that cord?????? and remember those mini Candy canes you use to buy, well darn it all I bought a box but mine appear to be the regular size without the bottoms *Deformed I tell ya* mama Said There'd be days like this!!!!

OLM's Season's Special Meaning

Good Morning Blogging Friends, Hope this finds you having a wonderful day so far!

I am sitting here, thinking of all the many things I need to do, and putting off the fact that I have to run to the Metal place and get the roofing for my FIL'S deck..........now I don't mind the drive there, I will stress about my babies because I have to leave them home. Rango is doing great!!

It is the fact that I will have a load of metal sheets that will hang way off of the tail gate.........so the drive home is stressful!! LOL........just picture this me looking in the rear view mirror saying BACK OFF at least a dozen times!! Because the vehicles behind me will stress me out!

Ok back to the Title of this POST!! MARIE is at it again she is giving away this precious little pouting doll

And She has asked us to post about the Season's Special meaning to us....................NOW mine may be a bit different then most

#1 and foremost the season is special because of the meaning of Christmas......Christ! And that sums it up good for me.

2. I always seem to be in a blah mood during the holidays, I miss family I miss get togethers, I miss my KIDS!! And yes I get down and out about it all, I am a mama and it hurts to not have your Children around for the holidays! It has been about 10 years since I have had all three of them and my grandson in the same place together!!

3. The greatest joy of the year is to know that I will go see my mother, hubby always tries to take me to see her, I am grateful to still have her at the wonderful young age of almost 90! She has had some issues lately with health etc. and I wish she was closer...........again, blah!! I would love for her to live close to me, she sews too!! I sent her a gift recently. I purchased some wide lace online and the lady sent it to her for me.

my mother makes Barbie Clothes beautiful gowns............She has so many Barbie's sitting around dressed up. With no place to go to LOL..............She gives some away now and then, and she would give them all away if she still drove. She does this to stay busy, she also quilts. Such an inspiration! My best Friend and I hope I follow if it is God's Will in her footsteps to be able to sew until my last days I am blessed with!

I need to find some Magic and decide to be in an uplifted mood, so I will sew this afternoon. After that much dreaded trip to pick up the metal LOL!!

Rango Says Hello

Well yesterday morning we took Miss Rango into the Doc's..........gee what a day! When Shelby and I got back in our pickup to come home, Shelby puts her paws on the dash and howled as she was looking at the Vet's Door in front of us. She was not a happy Camper...........She moped all day long. I let her outside yesterday afternoon and I could not find her. She was under our carport sniffing around the pickup. I do believe she was thought we had left her baby in the truck LOL

So this morning we went back to pick up Miss Rango. Yes she had her Big Girl surgery.

She has been on my Recliner since we got home. The Doc says no Rough Housing, well she has listened well. Shelby on the other hand can not understand why She can't play with her Baby. But Rango tells her no and snaps at her real quick if mama gets rough.

So Shelby is keeping her distance, how funny they are normally curled up real close to each other, but not today. And Shelby is not happy with it at all.

They both need to be brushed and need their beards trimmed. It is cold outside and they do not even want out there! It is going to be a long Winter! We just do not like Winter at all!!

Ok so I suppose I have a confession to make, I am lost in olden times, I am way FAR behind LOL
I have had my old camera for many many years and I am by no means a good picture taker. I know
The proper term is Photographer but that is too fancy of a word for this OLE gal!!
My old Camera was out of date, you could not stand close to an object it made it blur, I could zoom but not much *yes I am a cheap person* No I won't spend lots of money on an object! LOL
I did not spend much for this one either but Wow it does much more then the other one did, It is all Greek and I am lost!!

So I am going to the store to buy the Cheapest Camera I can find and a Big Box of Kleenex so I can sit and CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Elf to Dress for Diane and a Couple to finish for a Sweet Friend.

So This morning I found myself getting up with my dogs at 3:00 AM not sure where that came from?
And I could not go back to sleep so I finished a WIP, being that I was not wide awake I figured that would be the safest thing to do LOL. Needless to say by 7:00 AM I found myself crawling back into bed and sleep until 9:00 WOW that is something I never do! So I wanted to share this Finished item with you and let you know I have three more WIP's I will work on in the next couple of days and I will list them all for Now Available to ship

She is a OOAK on an old mill spool and only 12 inches tall to the bend in her hat.

Her hat is a army green colored Heavy Flannel and the trim and scarf is a Faux Fur. She is dusted heavy with ground Mica Flakes

And OH she is so much better in person!!! Just adorable.........There will only be one so if you should have an interest in her contact me before I get her listed

A Swap, A past Win, and my Sale

Good Morning, well we went shopping yesterday to Lowe's, not a bad crowd at all. We were going to get the fence to put up, But realized that the pickets were too wide and Miss Rango could escape LOL, And when she escapes she does not stop running. So we decided to build our own, we came home and did all of the figuring on what materials we would need. HMMM I may get a fence soon?? LOL I wanted it so I would not have to go out in the COLD winter weather and stand with them while they do their business?
So we instead got a live Tree!! Wow I have a tree......We put it up last night
No pictures to share it is pretty BARE!! I NEED ornaments LOL!!! It is a 6 foot tree a Fir and so pretty just kind of naked right now!

Hubby insisted he knew someone that we could hire to make some ornaments for it LOL..........I just sit in amazement at the fact that I have made tons and tons of ornaments for orders and not made any for myself!!

So how many of you went out in the middle of the night and shopped ?? Or should I ask how many of you are out there right now LOL??

Last year I had this tiny tree on my dining room table this year I will have a live tree, just have to figure out a place to put it at ?? And I intend to make some ornaments and buy some as well. I can not wait to have a big tree, as many know we weathered living in an RV for 4 years, so it has been awhile since I have decorated for Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving, new listings, last of my Big Orders, And a sweet gift in the Mail

OH wow.............did I cover enough there?? I have two large large orders going out on Friday well actually 2 large and one medium............then I have a few more smaller ones to wrap up and WOW Christmas creating may slow down for me??? Hmmm...........I think I will miss it! But this Ole Body is ready to slow down for a few days at least! Well maybe LOL, I am already getting spring orders, and last year January and February were my busiest months of the year??? So we will see how long I get to take a break, long enough that I plan on spending a couple of days with my Mom!

No large plans here for Thanksgiving, we are going down the hill to eat a small simple turkey dinner with my Sister and BIL, And I intend to take me a long afternoon Nap!!

This has been a week that has been packed full of all sorts of unexpected turns and twists, and I feel like I could go lay down and sleep for a couple of days!!

I have managed along the way to finish a few WIP'S while doing my orders, I take advantage of drying time etc. and work on what I can on the side. I have a few more I will be listing the week after Thanksgiving.

And oh my The spring items I have..........I can't wait to get to those and share with you!!

Revising this post............OH my word, does Vacation mean that you are OFF work?? Work called Hubby and I guess that means he is not on Vacation. This has been one of those weeks, One I do not need to go into detail about, I can assure you of that !!

Plans did not go as planned for this week? But this is why I do not often make plans they never seem to work out? I am doing hand work to keep my mind busy right now. I will be back in the full swing of things the day after Thanksgiving.

Yes I got my Candy Canes painted last night..........plus two new items almost finished and I am proud to announce I made it to bed by 12:48!! Darn it all my santa just would not get dry last night, It is damp and cool here, Well cold enough for me !!! I prefer to walk through winter looking at pictures online and just skipping that weather in person LOL!!

Wow I am just amazed that it is the middle of November, This year has just flown By. And I want to take a minute and do something personal...........

I want to Wish my Grandson a Late Happy Birthday his was in October, and tomorrow will be his mama's Birthday my middle child. Happy Birthday!! I miss you both and Wish there was a way to see you.

And day after tomorrow is my step daughters Birthday, this is her and her hubby. Happy Birthday to you!!!

I packed them upside down LOL.............I put arrows on them ladies so if you get a box from me, pay attention to the direction you should turn it to open it up?? Now Two of these Boxes are packed with Ornaments and The other one is my Swap going out to Amy, Yes Amy your box is upside down !! But I am proud that I met the deadline to get it shipped to you!!

I will get my errands ran Early this morning so that I can get back home and put on a Big Pot of Homemade Chili, and get to work, my day is going to be a busy one Today. Hope your day is Creative and Enjoyable

Santa Came to my House Early and I am Crying

Good Afternoon everyone, I have waited patiently today for hubby to get home from work.

I knew that he was going to be bearing gifts but I had no idea just what, and No they are not from him
Santa................no....................an ANGEL .............YES, Her name is Denise!!!

A few years ago when I had my store in East Texas, I had the pleasure of meeting a special lady. Let me explain
when she first visited my shop, I was thrilled that she liked to make things too. She lived close to Dallas and drove all the way to Gladewater to shop. She had an antique booth where she lived at and she made things to sell as well.

I closed my store, as many know to relocate back to Oklahoma, She did not know and she found out by going to my store and I was gone. When I got back on line a couple of years ago. A friend of mine told me a lady had a doll on her website and in the description it said it was made off of a doll by The Rusty Thimble, or inspired by. I can not remember the wording. Right away I noticed the doll and knew who it had to be, I remembered her purchasing the doll from me. So I emailed her, it took some time, seemed she was not selling on her site and just had not closed it, but she finally replied to me. And low and behold they had also moved from Texas to Oklahoma.

Stay with me here I have to share this.

Well they decided to move back to Texas LOL........but they still have their home in Oklahoma, So Denise contacted me and told me she had some things she wanted to get rid of. I told her I would buy them. So we met half way and I got some great great boxes packed with wonderful stuff.

Since then we have met a couple of other times for me to travel home with boxes of goodies, the next time I traded her for a couple of my handmade items she wanted. Well she emailed and said she had more stuff. So Hubby had to work today and they went by his job and gave the boxes to him.

Denise if you Read this you have filled my heart with unbelievable joy today. You are a true Angel. And I have cried so hard, I bet I have looked back through everything a dozen times.

I had been selling some other fabrics I bought from a lady that I can not use, so that I can take the funds and reinvest them into fabric and supplies. Yes I have been doing great selling, my hopes when I got this busy was to really stock my supplies and fabric with intentions of spending half of my earning on just that. But with a Hot water tank to replace, dogs to take to the vet, a new sewing machine to buy..........well you get the picture, my funds have been going else where.

So let me warn you this post is going to be picture heavy because I have to share with you

Two huge totes filled to the brim with the most wonderful stuff. I just can not stop crying here I am like a child in a candy store!!!

A bag full of unfinished items, plus some wonderful Big Annies that I will be primming up!!! And trimming out

Big Bells and Giant Bells, and lots of Wooden spools

Three huge bundles of Burlap. I see lots of goodies out of this, the feed store was almost out, thank you!

Yards of a Wonderful Wool Blend perfect for Santas, And yes I am working on Santas. And look Warm and Natural too!!!!!

Look at all this GREAT cotton fabric yards and yards of it

Wool for santas, sheep and annies!! Mop heads for santa beards just all sorts of goodies

Osnaburg and a thick muslin!! Yards yet again, that I needed so badly!!!

And a Box full of all sorts of wonderful items to use. If you remember I posted a picture of this santa

This was a little doll that Denise had started, I stained it up and made it into a Santa!!! Wait until you see the Black Santa I almost have finished, yes it was a naked doll that Denise had started and oh my he is so GREAT!!! I may have a hard time letting him go.

I am so excited about getting busy this evening, I have a large pot of Stew on and will be making some cornbread, And I plan on working late tonight. Hubby and his cousin are off working on a deck for his dad.

I put on my dusting cap and cleaned house all day yesterday, I had to I could not find a thing in all of my mess!! so I am all organized and ready to CREATE!!!!

Denise.............your Elves will be extra special that I am making for you............and I see a couple of santas and lots of other goodies as well. Good Morning Friends, it is sort of brisk outside this morning, a Perfect fall morning with the Chill in the Air
It seems that the chill is getting Cooler every night YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL..........I do not want it to get cold!
But it must be on it's way because my pains are aching!! My ankle is starting to swell up, arthritis, the ole knee is starting to catch, arthritis, and the hip is sort of sore, ARTHRITIS! LOL, time to go get me some extra bottles of Aleve!!

Good Morning

Good Monday Morning!!!!!! Or is it???????

Oh my word ok, so we did not turn our time back until last night when we went to bed. Yes I went to bed

Girls aren't you proud of me, I just decided to go to bed at 10:30 but dang it now I wish I wouldn't of !!

Won't you share a cup of coffee with me, oh wait a minute I need to make another POT!!! yep I have already finished one, and probably in record breaking time for me !!

Time change has yet again messed with my mind, I have been up since 3:24 AM, hmmm I should be dragging before noon LOL! I have no clue why time change has always affected my body so much, I am a creature of habit!

And it messes with my habits LOL.......And let's have another cup shall we, I should be so wound up in a little while that I will just be bouncing off the walls !!

If the time change is not enough, or the other various things that have gone wrong lately???? LOL

I went for a walk in our yard the other day while outside with Shelby and Rango, to pick up sticks for snowmen. Well a couple of years ago I had my first experience with poison sumac, it grows in the thicket across the road from us. Now all my life I have been able to sit in poison anything and never catch it!!

Not only has time changed I HAVE changed !! Oh Age, it is so special !!! Each year adds such wonderful joyful surprises !

It seems we have Poison Ivy growing under one of our trees, We have a yard full of Oak Trees. And a couple of cedars thrown in. Well It appears that I got into the poison ivy I have one little patch on my arm, hmm not bad in fact it is already drying up. But I must of slept with the arm under my face, because I now have it in my left eye, YUP you heard me!! It feels better and that is a good thing because I was going to be going to the Doc today for a shot if not!!!

Ok so they say things happen in threes................This is the Third thing so can life go back to normal now??

If there is remotely any such thing as normal right now!! LOL. I am sure by now most have heard that Oklahoma had a 5.6 Earthquake Saturday night ! Yes we felt that one, my Mother had just told me Saturday morning on the phone that Friday night she was awoken by one?? Seems there were several over the weekend. They were all centered 45 miles east of where she lives at. So she felt them more then we did, but the one Saturday night moved our little mobile home. LOL!! It is normal for Oklahoma to have an average of 50 a year but you never really feel them???

Now let's discuss the weather shall we?? Oh my gosh I am all over the place with this post !!!!

I am not complaining because we all love fall............me I love it because I dread Winter !!!! And the longer fall lasts the shorter Winter is!! It has been so nice here, in fact we had to turn our air back on last night. But now we are suppose to have thunderstorms for the next two days, nothing severe !! hmmm.......maybe time change is messing with the earth LOL!!

I have a long list of To Do things to accomplish today and this should be me by Noon if not sooner !!!

Gee have you ever done one of those senseless posts where you know the best thing to have done was to hit the delete button ?????? Yes I should have a Glorious Monday morning, maybe I should go climb back in bed instead..............No I will stay up Hope you all have a Wonderful Start to a Great New Week !!!!

Good Morning friends. Hope this finds you all enjoying your start to a Wonderful weekend, Remember to reset those clocks tomorrow UGH...........Time change always confuses me LOL. Please note this is sort of a gripping but mushy post. It will be long and maybe boring LOL.

Ok where do I start..............let's sum it up in a simple way! October was a ROUGH month, and November is not starting out any better LOL

One weekend the Hot water tank needs to be replaced, now sure that should be a simple thing to do. But no we had to rewire and replumb etc. for this chore. In the process of it all I misplaced two boxes putting them in a pile of boxes I thought had supplies in, OH NO........they were orders. which resulted in me getting them shipped late. Customers were fine with this.. But I wasn't it stressed me out.

The next weekend my sewing machine dies in the middle of sewing up a large pile of items ordered.
Simple solution go the next and morning and replace said sewing machine, resulting in me being behind in my work!! Customers again are fine with this.......But I wasn't. Stressed out even more.

Oh did I mention my dishwasher is now messing up..........what a God send this appliance is so please pray for me because if it goes out, with the work load I have we Will use nothing but throw away dishes LOL!!!
And my stress level will surely RISE lol.

Then my FIL gets rushed to the hospital, thank the Lord he is ok, required an emergency surgery removing part of his intestine.

I did have one ANGRY customer. someone I had tried to contact several times and could not get a reply from, someone that I spent two weeks waiting for them to pay an invoice. Then they were angry when they finally paid thinking I was shipping right away. I just thought maybe they had decided they did not want their order. So during my sewing machine issue, I took a couple items from that customers box and sent on to a paying customer that was waiting for her items. end result I refunded said customers money. Stressed again!

But through it all I had a reminder of something I had misplaced in my life...........let me explain.
About 15 years ago I lost my father, within the first 24 hour period of time I had to get my vehicle and run an errand. My heart was Heavy and I remember not thinking clearly as I was driving. I almost caused a bad accident and the other person was very unhappy with me, I remember pulling over on the side of the road and just falling apart, crying so hard it took awhile for me to be able to go on down the road. In that moment in time I promised God that I would always consider others, that I would not get upset with anyone when they annoyed me. I would always consider that the other person may be struggling or going through something difficult in life. So the end result made me think that I need to slow down and realize I will get orders out I will succeed as planned and all I can do is hope that customers will be satisfied.

By the way I am still taking orders so do not let this keep you from ordering from me. I may need the money to replace a dishwasher LOL!!!!

OK now the title of this post.

Last week I received a box from Karen of The Barely There Primitive Bear she had sent me graters I shared on another post.

Well look I got another box this time from **Cyndy of Crafty Stitchers

And yesterday I get an email from whom we all refer to as MRS claus these days online.

Yes our very own **Linda of Parkers Paradise** seems Linda has found me an army blanket and is sending it my way. Thank you all ladies for thinking about me and helping me out with the items I am having a hard time finding.

Moral of my story Friends are amazing, friends always think of others...........and I truly have some amazing online friends whom I am so thankful for. I can not venture out far because of this Vertigo mess I am still struggling with. *yes with all the stress I have had more of these episodes lately* I fear having a moment on the road somewhere and being stuck there and not being able to drive myself home. And being that I live in the boonies Thank you Lord for that one. Because I do love where I live. But it prevents me from being able to go out junking and scouting for great treasures.

So if you are still with me on this long boring post pay attention I am having a Giving moment LOL

I guess the real moral of this post is Stop and take the time to Consider others, we are coming upon a season where everyone should be joyful and in Happy spirits but sadly things happen in life and we need to always consider that the other person...........yup the one driving like an idiot in front of you, or the pushy one at the store, or the clerk that is rude. Always stop and think that they too may be going through something that is sad or hard in their lives.

Hope I have not totally made you think that I have lost my mind LOL

Well What a Weekend!! Another one bites the dust

Ok so yesterday did not go as planned............as some of you may know I have discussed my sewing machines before. I sewed all day yesterday and my sewing machine started acting funny and I fought it and fought it, worked on it so much until I was blue in the face!! so at almost 11:00 pm last night it died!!! Just Died it was moaning it is is not dead so to speak it is just making a horrible sound and does not sew any more?? OH yeah, I almost lost it, I really did, I cried for a very short period of time due to the stress of knowing how far behind even one day would put me. But I just stopped wiped my stupid tears and went to bed and said tomorrow is another day.

So this morning, about 9 AM I told my hubby he said what are we waiting for let's go get another one, and he told me to call the shop tomorrow in the town he works in and he will take two of my machines in for repair.

So off we went and I got another cheap Singer. I am rough on machines, my dad used to always say I put more miles on a sewing machine then an individual puts on a vehicle LOL

So some seemed to not believe my attempt to get so much done and many do not understand how I can do what I do. I want to lay out my days work to you and explain. Hope you stick with me and read what my job involves.

#1. I love what I do, I have done this since 1973! Maybe not at the volume that I do now but for along time.

#2. If you want to sell wholesale you have to be devoted and ready to deal with alot of pressure.

My days always start out at my computer checking emails and orders. I keep them on my computer in a file, but I also hand write them in a book on my desk. Note this is my coffee break, mornings online

Then I make a list of what I need to accomplish

I will share with you some pictures

This is how much of yesterdays stack I got sewed * look at stack in last post * before my battle with said sewing machine in picture GRRR

This is my counter top that is at my back while I am sewing, each pan is an order

As I get these items sewed they get marked off of the order with a check mark And put into my customers pan. so if you have an order with me you have a pan And this pan is used in many ways before an order is complete. I buy these at Sams in a Big Package!!

This is the center island counter! Look at the graters Karen sent me of The Barely There Primitive Bear!!

After sewing my pans go one at a time to my work space on my table I then trim and turn everything and it is put in piles what needs to be stained, painted black or white you get the picture

I then stain what I can and dry it before stuffing, the other items I have to stuff are stuffed at that time, then the orders is painted etc. These items are then ready to finish so they all get highlighted in one color on my order book. At This time the pan becomes a supply pan, I pull out all supplies to finish the order, bells, trim, tags, everything. The items are put in a box, so if you have an order you now have a pan and a box LOL.

My goal is to do up at least 4 pans a days..........these are large orders several items to an order.

Then I start on one order at a time and complete it, I have your box beside me at my work table and those items are packed as completed and highlighted in a different color on the book to indicate completion.

Then another highlighter is used for shipping with the date shipped

I know it is hard to believe for some but I have been averaging completing at least 30 plus items a day I have been mailing out about 3 to 4 boxes a day, every day. But now my work load has reached the point of more boxes in a day. I am proud of what I do and I take my business serious it is my Job!! And I love it. I am not bragging because I have struggled with months of no orders or just a hand full. And now I am real busy and I am loving it.

I use to work at a western wear factory and sew. I loved that it was a great job. Thus I suppose my effort in keeping it all organized and being able to work in a factory type mode.

So the Moral of this story is I did not get my work done yesterday but look out tomorrow is a new day!!

And I shall succeed.

The only sad thing about this month is last weekend it was our hot Water Tank this weekend my Sewing machine, I did have better plans for spending my earnings LOL.........and I was disappointed but then I stopped and gave thanks because If I were not making this money I would not of been able to replace these things. I love my customers. You all provide us with so much more then you realize. In fact tonight you gave us a great meal, we had smoked Ribs, with a smoked pan of potatoes, onions and squash!! Thank you!

hmmm that is a lot to cover I have a schedule today so best get right to it!! But wait is it cold where you are, did you get snow? Dog Sweaters and a box of goodies

Good Morning a good chilly windy drizzly one here!! Brrrrr.............Ok so it was too early this morning to try to get good pictures.

And Shelby is thinking gosh MOM!!! don't you know I have gone through a rough year?? I had surgery and I have gained Weight????? I am a big girl now and you forgot to get me a bigger sweater! And I vote we just do not buy anymore of these things anyway LOL.

Yes the one I got is too small UGH!! so I will have to get Shelby a larger one and save this one for Rango to grow into. I can not find Shelby's other sweaters?

Rango looks like she is asking her mommy how to take it off, Shelby is such a whiny clown she just freezes. Rango doesn't seem to mind wearing hers. One thing about it they did not want to stay out long this morning!!

And neither did I !! We are suppose to only have a high of 50 degrees today?? YUCK

I have orders to get done this morning so this is short, I miss all of you and reading your blogs. It finally caught up with me last night, (all of my late nights and only sleeping 3 hours) and I went to bed at 9:00 PM and got up at 4:00 AM this morning. So now I feel refreshed, but honestly I could go climb back in bed right now!

Shelby and Rango go to A new Groomer

Well What started out as a Day we hoped to wrap up by noon and get back home ended up lasting until after 3 PM??? And yes it put a dent in my production time, so I am looking at a late night of sewing here!! We shall see

We started out at 9 AM and drove about an hour to run some errands. We had an appointment at 11 for the dogs to get groomed. Why did we leave so early well it takes an hour to get there LOL........oh the joys of living so far away from stuff!! So we stopped at a Hobby Lobby YEAH!! I needed to so badly, I ran in and picked up a few things then across the highway to The groomers we were about 15 minutes early. They tell us three hours RIGHT?? keep reading I will explain LOL

We went next door to Academy sports and shopped some. Then back across the highway to Home Depot

We had an element out on our hot water tank and if you used the hot water it took all day for it to heat back up. We have a tiny hot water tank, and we decided to get a larger one. So we do our shopping there, get done and decide we have an hour to kill?? What now I mean we were in Sherman Texas and there is every store in the world you would want to shop at, but we are not big shoppers. And not knowing the area there was no way we were going to attempt to look for antique or prim stores LOL......And oh my word the traffic!!

Oh ok back to the dogs we park in the parking lot about an hour early and sit in the pick up and people watched, we were at a Petsmart so we watched lots of people and their dogs going in and out of the store. Yes this was about 1:10 the dogs should be done by 2!! Good we are both ready to get back home. Hot water tank strapped in the bed of the pickup and dreading the chore of unloading it and installing it.

So about 1:30 I go into the store to see how long it will be, another hour?? WHAT...........they were swamped!! Go back out to the truck and sit awhile about 2:15 I go back in!! Still not done but I got to watch through the window from behind a shelf LOL............I knew better then to let them see me.

LOOK at me I caused it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And by the Way this mug of mine was Snow White when mommy and daddy brought me home

But I had to go outside to potty and I played in the dirt!!!!

We just wanted to play

And Yep that is dirt on my face too, I had to help Rango dig, Still not sure what she was digging for

we never got anything * But in Trouble That darn Puppy* Before I brought her into this world I

didn't get in as much trouble as I do now? What were they thinking??

They got done by different groomers and at first they had them on tables next to each other, Bad idea they said they just kept barking at each other

So they moved them to where there was a table between them. Now it took two groomers to do Rango the little snot, they had to stop about every ten minutes and hug her and let her love them, YUP I watched she was just giving them girls lots of kisses. She was a handful she did not like it at all!! One had to hold her to her chest and look at her back through a mirror and shave her back OMG!!!!!

And Shelby !! Now we all know from previous stories I have told that all she does is Yelp from the time I drop her off to the time I picked her up. WOW a Man groomed her, they call him the animal calmer !! He raises Horses and they say he just has a way with animals. I watched as this guy groomed Shelby, she did not Cry she was such a good Girl. And she liked him??? WOW

So they got Treats and Halloween Squeaky Toys too!! Yep those should drive me nuts!! I had just gotten rid of the last worn out Squeaky Toy!!

And here she is standing up for her treats she will stand like this forever LOL

So the Hot water Tank is sitting outside * Under the deck it is suppose to Rain tonight*, seems we were both so worn out, that will be a project tomorrow, and yes Hubby got someone to help him so I can Sew!!

Not sure if I am going to stay up late or get up EARLY and bust my tail tomorrow!!!

Thank you Everyone for the sweet comments and the emails. I am proud to say I took a break from sewing today. But did I rest............oh No not me I cleaned house ALL day long!!

I was just cleaning the kitchen from dinner so I could work on a few items to ship tomorrow, I looked into the living room and this is what I found. So here is Miss Rango taking it easy

Yes her legs are hanging off of the side of the chair LOL..........But she appears to be very comfortable and so happy to be HANGING out with Daddy!!! She is such a mess.

Good morning well I hope it is a better morning for you then it is for me!!

I got new Jewelry last night yes Hubby even put in on for me, HMMMMMMM I am not happy with it I want to return it for something a little Better Keep Reading LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember last year, well if you have joined my blog since then I suppose you wouldn't remember let me recap the event for you

I got a Vise as a gift from last years event and it still is in my tool bag, because I have no work table to put it on I refuse to attach it to my Oak Dining table that was once Hubby's Nannies! and I do not think last nights event will bring me any new gadgets to use. Are you still waiting for my Pretty NEW Jewelry??

I am feverishly working this hard as a goal I am trying to help hubby get a shop building built so I can reclaim my storage building for a studio *That would provide me with a work table for things like vises*

Now last nights Goof up was not Craft related what so ever but I blame it on my Tiredness LOL

I still do not have any feeling or it tingles when I do on the left side of this left forefinger, seems I damaged

the cuticle area of my nail but it grows fine just can't feel much there.

Do you remember the old drill bit through the nail??? WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRR

This is my new JEWELRY...........oh my word why now??? Do not I repeat do not look at that nail I put my hands through a beating on a daily basis.......Yes I have had them submerged in stain this morning already and
Dang it all that new silver thing is in the way!! I shall see if I can remove it this morning and work without it on. I just have to figure a way to wrap it up and be sure to keep it out of stain or paint????

ONLY ME, Last night around 9 PM I realized that I had not made the bed yesterday I had stripped the bed to put on new linens................Well it seems me and the mattress was not getting along and it appears the Mattress won the battle!!!!!!!!

I raised the mattress up to put the fitted sheet on and somehow managed to drop it?? *still trying to figure that one out* on my middle finger, It took the tip of my nail and about a quarter of an inch below the quick line and it just snapped the nail off................OMG!!! The entire tip of my nail, now we have all at sometime or another broke a nail into the quick oh so painful!! But I have never done this before. It Hurts so bad. And Dab nab It I did not realize how much I use that nail, even typing LOL. It actually looks like someone went and cut my nail off straight across the nail but way down deep into the nail???????? DUH

Someday I will get Pretty New jewelry I hope and not this UGLY stuff LOL my finger is so tender this morning, not sure how this will work out for me but I must win this battle of defeat and press on and get my boxes packed for the postal carrier to pick up this morning so back to work I go.

Hey it just occurred to me that I need to keep a supply of finger guards on hand maybe I can prim them up a bit, you think?? maybe wrap them with fabric and and put a note on the box of them stating if you are reaching into this box *You are Working Too Hard Miss Rusty Thimble* LOL

So for Christmas I am asking Santa for Finger guards and I need post it notes LOL

I have a few gals buying from me for fillers for craft shows. And just thought I would share a special with everyone.

So I took a break (BAD idea) I have been up since 3 AM this morning and have not slowed down until now

again BAD idea cause now I am realizing that is is getting COLDER out side YUCK, that wind is chilly I have my window open above my computer and I did not know it was cooling down that much. Yes it is suppose to drop to near freezing tonight UGH...........oh I HATE cold weather LOL............can't ever be satisfied can I?

Shelby has been wrapped up in a blanket all day she gets cold easy.....Rango on the other hand is so active she has not paid any attention to it, besides when they have to go outside to Potty and they do not want to stay out there that long. I am thinking I will just shave the important parts and let their hair grow out, if I groom them short right now they would freeze.

I do not want to turn on my heater cause sure as I do that means I am giving into the season too early !!

Ok so taking a break to shout out a quick Hello may not of been the best thought on my part because my

body has just shut down and does not want to move now, but I must get back to work.

A home remedy for Sore Fingers from sewing

Good Morning everyone, Gee someone turned fall on in full force this morning in Oklahoma YUCK!! Now I love fall when it is pretty out and not too chilly but DANG!! We had a front move through with Thunderstorms last night heavy rain which we so badly needed, just did not last long enough!! And major lightening. So we awoke this morning to high winds and Chilly chilly air.......oh I so dread Cold winter months.
Where my everything hurts LOL yup all the aches and pains kick in!

One thing about it my Babies did not want to stay out long this morning LOL...........guess it is almost time to drag out Shelby's sweater, and whip one up for Rango.

Now on with the Title of this post. My Fingers take a beating, if you sew a lot yours probably do as well!!
When I was young, *I probably still do* I had a vitamin deficiency and the skin under my nails would peel and my hands would get sore. A doctor suggested this remedy and it does help.

Yes Olive Oil, take it and heat it on the stove pour it into a pie pan. Make sure it is as warm as you can stand it to be. Soak your fingers for about 15 minutes then before drying or cleaning. Rub the oil into your nails, cuticles, calluses, etc.. Then clean your hands. It is great for your nails. I would show you a picture of my fingers *But they are not Pretty* and at the moment they have already gone to work this morning and my nails have stain and paint in them. Oh Yes we have to love the results of our hard labor LOL

My MIL informed me this past weekend it is also great to use on your hair as an Oil Treatment, I may have to try that one?

My fingers look like human pincushions my thumb, forefinger, and middle finger on my right hand have holes all in the ends of them LOL. And my knuckles have calluses from cutting things out!

Good afternoon Friends, I will let you guess what I have been doing, if the answer was sewing, you are correct LOL...........I did get a great box in the mail today and I will share with you, I did not stage photos I am so sorry for that, in order to accomplish that I would of had to of moved several finished items, and I have them placed where they are as orders so I did not want to confuse myself!

sorry for the Quality of the photos Gals, I went to bed at 2 Am this morning and I got up at 6, I think my recliner is telling me to come sit a spell while these items are drying!! I may be able to squeeze in a nap for about an hour?? But I must of slept well because I am not dragging like I have been!! Maybe my body is just adjusting to the hours I am keeping, when I was younger I could go on 4 or 5 hours of sleep with no problem!

During my Single Motherhood days, I got off work at 3 Am at one job went to work at another at 5:30 Am got at at 2 in the afternoon and went back at 6:30 pm to the late one?? Gee if I had to do that today I would be Sick within a week!!!

Sorry to bore you with my everyday routine right now. I already have orders for Rabbits in February?? Wow

I Got my Prize from Willa and what Season is it?

It is FALL!!!!

Good Saturday morning , well I did it I actually got a full nights sleep. I went to bed at 9 last night and was bright eyed and ready to rise by 5 AM, do I feel rested? Well more then I have been recently but I feel like I could sleep a week just to catch up!!
I am working on Christmas and Spring, I feel like fall just up and left my home LOL. My yard insists it is still Fall with all the leafs that are piling up! Yesterday I got a great fall order and I even took a trip to the quilt shop for the fabric for it, And I am going to have to find time to run back over there!! All the Halloween fabrics were half price, but did not have time yesterday to shop. You see I was on a mission, I had to go to an antique store to find graters and sifters!! And YES I scored LOL. But I still need more!
I love my blogging friends LilRaggedyAngie will be sending me some this next week!! I had no clue how well my grater and sifter gingers would sell!

Most are selling Wholesale, This time of the year I really miss my store! It thrills me to know that so many will be carrying my items in their shops in so many states! I will be adding a couple of these to my Etsy Shop sometime to today. The Rusty Thimble Etsy Shop

Most all of the items I am making seem to be going straight in boxes and out the door, I had to run to the post office to ship yesterday and they are just amazed at the amount of packages I have shipped lately!

I did receive my giveaway prize from Willa of **The Old Cupboard Door** Not only did Willa send the noodle board she painted, Isn't it Great and trust me when I say the picture does not do it justice, It is Awesome! She also sent the two taper Candles and a Sweet little card! Thank you so much Willa!

I did run across a Great Buy yesterday I got 11 Mill Spools for $19.95 pretty good since I was needing them for make do's, These guys will be snowmen!!

Oops a Rabbit??? Do I have you bouncing all over the place yet LOL! These guys were real Hot sellers last year I believe the last count I had, I sold like 52 of these rabbits. Well I already have orders for them this year

I am loving this, just ask me if I am tired Yet? Nope I am still going, not worn out one bit, well maybe a little but I am still going strong, And managing to do everyday things also, I have learned how to multi task big time

My Baby goes to the vet this morning for shots, Rango is growing so fast and I have missed chances at pictures that I will later regret. But Shelby and Rango want all of their fans to know they are not abused they still seem to get lots of attention and love regardless of how busy mom is!!

They both need hair cuts again poor babies but they get baths all the time, This one just can not seem to stay White. She is a mess, into everything, and she knows how to get your attention if she feels you are ignoring her!! She is going to be more rotten then her Mama, Who by the way is showing some signs of being a bit Jealous. Shelby has always had a seat on the arm of Dad's recliner in the evenings and now the squirt as she is called has decided that is her seat, Yes there are two chair arms but neither one want a thing to do with the vacant Recliner arm ?? Oh I love my Babies!

And by the way we are having yet another fish fry today for a few family members. So have I made you tired today LOL, wishing you all a wonderful Weekend

Up to my eye balls in gingerbread, snowmen, and Santa's ! Sorry I am not posting more often, and yes I am taking breaths along the way LOL.........I am loving being this busy, and by the way I am still taking orders!

Gingerbread on Old Vintage graters, in sifting cups, I have 24 of these done right now for orders!

Gingerbread man and more gingerbread men LOL...........sorry I did not take the time to take pictures of Santa's or snowmen, I will share those later this week. I stopped long enough for a bite of lunch and just wanted to let everyone know I am still here. Hubby is calling our house Santa's factory LOL

Well I am proud to say I did get to sleep another hour last night?? I have no clue what Shelby and Rango's problem is LOL, they use to sleep all night long. Ok so I have spent countless hours working away, in fact my dogs got me up at 1:50 this morning needing to go outside. I just looked and said are you serious LOL!!!!!!!!! you see once I get woke up I can go back to sleep, but once I get woke up and get out of bed I can NOT go back to sleep. So after going back to bed when we came back inside I laid with eyes wide open and watched the clock for 45 minutes, and thought what the heck so yep I got up, turned on my coffee and I am dragging from it now!!

So I took a much needed break a few minutes ago and found a wonderful surprise in my emails LOOK at this

I also wanted to share some news with you that I have not taken much time to talk about, My sister that I live by as most know had recently had a major Cancer surgery, I am so Happy to see her out and about, she still has some pain, and some bad swelling in one of her legs but she is doing Good and I have missed seeing her outdoors this year!! She is always outside when the weather is nice and most of this year she has been cooped up indoors!!!!

Sharing my Busy World right now

I have been extremely busy lately and I love it. On any given day you can find me working away in my kitchen

Yes I have pulled it all back out again and my kitchen is not a kitchen anymore LOL. Please excuse the mess but this is how it will stay until the end of the year. So glad I have a patient hubby, and trust me when I say no meals go uncooked.

I apologize for neglecting my blog lately, as well as my wonderful babies which will be in a picture on this post as well. Fair warning do not be frightened LOL, I am actually a great house keeper, but when work is demanding these areas get their daily cleaning and then they look like this again!!

I will confess all meals are served on TV trays and I grab mine at the computer desk, so I can take care of business while I am eating!! Poor Hubby!!!

See my Window hubby says I need one of those round spinning things that a waitress slaps an order on for the cook so I can keep all of my current orders I am working on in clear view, but this works fine for me LOL, actually yes those notes are orders and that is not all of them!

This is the sewing side of my Table!! I was going to share my counters that I spread foil across filled with items drying, but I had to clean them off so I can start dinner shortly.

And last but not least POOR babies!! They both need baths and brushed, I can get Shelby to sit for me but I can not get Miss Rango to listen when I want to take pictures! Isn't she growing, she is such a mess, And yes she stays dirty. She gets a bath once a week and stays white for one evening and that is it!!
